One of the best spots in Calgary for authentic Korean food. Great service, kimchi is amazing and house made. No complaints, except due to the business we had to wait for a bit in line before eating! Worth it
Location is decent with parking, spacious restaurant, service was decent. Food however left quite a bit to be desired. Noodle was bland but was ok. Seafood parking was decent. However, the dumplings were tasteless and the meat texture was poor. Avoid the dumplings if you go. Price was quite expensive too.
Kimchi is very good! I really enjoy their kimuchi. Noodle.. soup is good but not hot. Korean pancake is not great than other places. I should order dumplings, looks good. I will try other noodle and dumplings.
So happy someone recommended this place to us! The menu is small but everything they make is delicious! Quality menu for sure! The sides are SO good here! We were obsessed with the pickles. The staff were also very on top of filling our side dishes, which is rare at other Korean restaurants. We got two soups and the seafood pancake and we couldn’t finish! Great portion sizes. The food was flavourful and very comforting. The staff were all smiles and so hospitable. This will be our new regular place to go, even though it’s far from our house. Thanks for having us!
Mostly got hyped on social media and decided to give it a try. Food quality is excellent but it's on the pricey side. We wait for about half an hour to get seated. We tried the signature pork bone noodle soup, beef noodle soup, dumplings, seafood pancake. Overall taste like homemade flavor. Nothing special of it. But it's a good atmosphere if you want to hang out with friend. The correlation feels very fresh and Korean style. Parking only have a few spot in the front. mostly parking is on the rear.
The food here is amazing. Flavour is balanced, quality of the meat is superb, and the dumplings.....wow. they make these dumplings fresh daily. The skin is just thick enough to hold the generous amount of filling. The noodles are hand pulled and have the perfect density. The soup is flavourful and not too salty. A must try in Calgary. I'll be a regular without a doubt.
Had to wait about 45 minutes on a Saturday night but the food was good and the service was impeccable. My favorites of the night were the seafood pancake and the pork bone noodle soup. The mandus were huge but the meat filling was dry.Food: 4/5
Went to try for first time. Got there at 5 pm so that we don’t have to wait. Although on pricey side, well worth it as the quality was great! We had the beef and seafood soup as well as tried the mandu and seafood pancake. You can tell the soup has been cooking for a while and very flavourful. Mandu were super stuffed and so good. The service was also great, they were going around a few rounds topping up sides and drinks. Would recommend!
Been here twice. Now this place is really unique since I don’t know of another city with knife cut noodles, known as kalguksu. The flavours are simple but great. Try the seafood kalguksu for great flavor, the chicken kalguksu for a rainy day, and the kimchi kalguksu for some spice. The mandu is ok, big but lacking flavor, I prefer the pork. The Mandu dipping sauce is top tier tho. The sliced pork is amazing and tender, worth a try for sure! The kimchi however is defs one of the best in town, eat it with your noodles or on its own. The kimbap is a good small snack too. Just because this place is so unique I would recommend everyone give it a try. Get a bottle of soju and some beer, make some somek and enjoy good hearty soups with your friends. I’ll have to come back for the seafood jeon. The servers are all awesome dudes!
What a great place to have some homey Korean food! We started with the Kimbab a thinly wrapped fish cake that is a bit sweet/salty/crispy and kimchi jeon thin pancake with kimchi and a bit cheesy at the edges. The pork and kimchi mandu is thinly wrapped, tender and meaty. The stars were the kalguksu Korean knife cut noodle soup - we had both the pork bone and the beef. The broth of the pork bone was flavorful and the beef, very beefy. Both were not salty at all and would be something I could drink a bowl of on its own! They offer a small menu but everything they cooked was done very well! Will be back to try their other dishes!
