About

Opening in January 2018, we are downtown Calgary's newest plant-based cafe serving quick, healthy and delicious meals, snacks, smoothies and coffee.

Story

Located inside Heavens Fitness in the trendy Beltline area, we are Downtown Calgary's newest 100% plant based cafe opening January 2018. Recognizing a need for more plant-based options that are quick, tasty and healthy, we decided to transform our cafe into a completely animal product-free zone. Coming from a Korean heritage, many of our menu items will be heavily inspired by delicious Korean cuisine and some of our favourite dishes.

Our menu items will include delicious breakfast items such as Scrambled Tofu, Sweet Quinoa Bowl and Vegan Breakfast Sandwiches. Our lunch menu items will consist of mouthwatering Korean Sweet & Spicy "Chik'un" Tofu Bowl, Bibimbap with fresh vegetables, Japchae with vegetable dumplings (Korean glass noodles) and more. We will also have a selection of vegan baked goods.

Thankful to have found a place that serves delicious and flavorful food that just happens to be vegan. Will definitely be back for more.
Great service, super friendly and the prep time was very quick, food was ready in 10 min for pickup. Both the “Tuna” Poke bowl and the Japchae were delicious! Would definitely come back to try more items of the menu
Excellent food, the place itself smells amazing when you walk in. The prices are fantastic and the food is top notch.
What a great cafe! Portions were a little small for the price but tasty. The Kimchi is amazing.
We ordered delivery and each had the eggs beni with a side of lentil pancakes and dumplings. So so good, 10/10 looking forward to going there again. I could eat a whole plate of those dumplings. The holindaise sauce was so super tasty as well. Lentil pancakes were savoury and filling.
If you are looking for delicious Korean vegan food in Calgary look no further! SaVeg has a great variety of amazing food, at very affordable prices. A personal favourite of mine is the vegan benny!
Recommended by a fried we thought we would try it out, and boy are we glad we did! A small but cozy place and quite a lot of choice from what we could see. We opted for the daily special the "Spicy chicken" bowl, and I would swear it was chicken, very tasty and nicely spiced! We will be back to try more options for sure.
Great spot for vegan fast casual. Open for breakfast! Tasty food and friendly staff.
Good coffee with a take out window during covid. No indoor seating. Vegan.
