Taste Of Korea

My first try since it was on Skip the dishes when I searched “Korean food”. And I have to say their food was great : can’t wait to visit this place in person. Also loved their pan cakes very much <3 Kimchi stew was not really what I expected, since I chose add-on pork in the stew which usually make its taste better, but their pork has so much of charbroiled fired flavour, I could only taste that in the stew. Other than that it was a nice try and I’d love to try without pork add-on.

Been here twice now, wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Definitely not disappointed! Fried chicken + soup is so heaven, wish I lived closer!

I tried Taste of Korea for the first time on the last day of 2021. Food was amazing for take out and I plan to dine in next time. Great flavour and fresh ingredients. Very impressed with the quality

The food was excellent and the place is very clean. While we were dining in, there were 7-8 delivery drivers that came in. The server was very polite and friendly with them and gave them free candies. I was impressed because delivery drivers are sometime not treated well at other restaurants even we are all relying on them. Kudos to Taste of Korea.

This was my first time sitting down for Bibimbap, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely get spicy next time. Veg pancake was delicious, and our server was wonderful as well.

Love Taste of Korea. Food is always amazing and staff are friendly. Ordered stir fried potato noodles last time and they were great. Nice and chewy and tasty seasoning. Highly recommend. Update Dec 2022: visiting Calgary over the holidays and had to come back for the amazing food. We ordered the spicy chicken bibimbap and beef short ribs. The beef was so tender and flavourful, and the portion size was large for a great price.

Had takeout here, and was a pretty enjoyable experience! I got 50% off on my bowl from fantuan delivery app, and it was a very good deal! The pickled radish that came on the side was very good and crunchy, and I liked how well packaged everything was. The pork had plenty of flavour and was marinated very well. Lots of veggies in it with a variety of flavours.

I have ordered the bbq bulgogi meal from here in the past many times and it has always come with lettuce wraps, sauces and traditional sides. Tonight I ordered it. Sides were an option and included rice, green salad or soup. I asked for the rice. Upon receipt there were no lettuce wraps, traditional sides or sauces. I called them only to be told that despite the photos and despite my past experiences with this order, the lettuce wraps no longer come with the bulgogi. The “green salad” is actually the lettuce leaves. She offered no apology. She only reiterated that lettuce is now expensive. I understand that groceries are expensive right now but this is not an excuse for poor customer service or false advertising. I have lived in Korea and know what this meal is supposed to look like. To add insult to injury, the food was actually cold and tasted quite off. A shame for a restaurant that used to be, in my opinion, the best Korean in the city.

Food here is delicious!! I have dined in and did take out, both times food quality was great! Seafood pancake was yummy, pork belly with salad wrap was a good portion size and the chicken wings and rice cakes were awesome! Great place to go for Korean cravings!! Also customer service was kind, when I dined in my party stayed a bit past closing time and we didn’t feel rushed at all.
