Best staff period. Have been playing this place for a long time. Food is great, lots of beers and there is no better place top play on a weekend than the Halifax Alehouse. Get there. #frankiedeuce

Great chowder. Nice waitress. But little point in having 30 beers on tap if you don't have it on a bar menu that customers can read.

The Alehouse is an interesting spot. The drinks and service are so-so, and the location is pretty good. But as it's open late and not a nightclub, it draws a crowd of devotees most weekends. When they have deals on picthers and beer it's worthwhile.

Great Thursday night, with an amazing live music band. Had some really attentive servers and great selection of beer. $16 for a pitcher of Keith's and a party order of nachos. Will be back again

Definitely a college pub - a bit natty and a bit dingy, but lively. Charging $3.50 to debit a transaction was a bit strange, given credit card use was free. House ale was passable.
