Hôtel Cofortel

Very clean and well located place for those who want to do more outdoor activities as it is a bit far from down town. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. The only necessary improvement is the breakfast as there is nothing special about it.

The only reason I am giving a second star is because the receptionist was trying to find a way to fix the problem. So, they gave us a bedroom with 1 Queen bed for 3 people. 2 adult and 1 child. We expected a cot for our child which is what we most of the time have when we travel. Turns out that they did not have cot and that was the only room which was wheelchair accessible. So people with wheelchair cannot have a family? They moved us to a room which now we can all sleep but my wife cannot use the bathroom on her own. The bathroom does not even have a grab bar by the toilet. To get to rooms we have to go through doors in hallway. None open automatically, even to get to the wheelchair bedroom. Do they really think someone in a wheelchair can open those doors. Even within the best scenario that they could, it wouldn't be without difficulty. We also ordered valcartier tickets, only 2 tickets because a wheelchair cannot do anything. They messed that up. They did pay for one of the 2 tickets but one of the reason we booked a long time ago was to make sure we could go to Valcartier during an afternoon. That was messed up and only nights were available when we got here. So instead of spending 5 hrs we are limited to 3. Breakfast does not even have scrambled eggs bacon or sausages. Though it was alright. They had bread, hard eggs, yoghurt, turnovers, banana, oranges and cereals. Another note: The wheelchair room has a tub so good luck getting into it. Now the regular room has a shower with a small step which is better. It should be the other way around. Conclusion: if you are in a wheelchair and cannot walk at all, look somewhere else. Don't trust your order of Valcartier going through them. Do not expect a cot. Wheelchair people apparently do not have family... Our option was to either stay in the wheelchair room... one of us would have to Sleep on the floor or to accept the regular room that is not wheelchair accessible (mainly the bathroom). They wasted a lot of our time when we arrived in order to figure out a solution when either they should have find us another suitable hotel or give another room. Oh yea, when my wife called, she had a bad feeling that they did not understand our request. So I called back to confirm. They told me that we should not worry and all will be good when we get here.... Now here is the result.

Les chambres sont belles et très propre. Le déjeuné n'est pas le plus impressionnant. Il n'y a aucune protéine (oeuf ou viande) à manger. Et mon accueil à l'hôtel était assez médiocre. L'employée était vraiment bête.

Verry comfortable Great service with staff that enjoyed speaking English with us. Close to the airport Would recommend

Great spot - clean, good service, good breakfast, close to restaurants and 5 minutes drive to the airport. I have been going there almost every time I'm in Quebec City for the past 4 years.
