The lady working on Jan. 8 evening at the reception was being rude. I requested towels over the phone, then we called again after half hour later and she just told us there are 3 rooms before us. Over 1 hour later, still never received the towels as my wife was trying to shower. I went to the reception to request the towels, she told me somebody will be bringing them up. I was trying to tell her that we have been waiting over 1 hour and half already, she just walked away from me without finishing talking to her. Her colleague was nicer than her and brought me to get the towels in the same floor as reception, not more than 100m away from reception.
A good hotel for the price, located near the highway and emergency hospital, has underground free parking be aware it has low clearance 1.82m only. Rooms are good, they have a microwave if needed. It has a balcony and a great view from the top floors if you are facing the river side. Also there are 3 elevators but you might need to wait for a bit during rush hours or use stairs. Overall good experience considering the price
Don’t listen to the reviews saying elevators are slow, rooms aren’t great, blinds aren’t dark, etc…nnThis hotel is very good for the price you pay. Speaking as someone who stays at encore once a month, I’d pick this hotel right under that. Google says it’s a 4 star hotel, I’d give it that. Staff was super kind and quick with check in, and spoke fluent enough English so I didn’t have a hard time. Only downside is the strip is right outside which can be a little noisy and yes, the person below me was smoking weed on their balcony too. I will simply not go out on the balcony and enjoy this awesome room.
My first time staying here for hospital appointments. Paid by Visa for 2 nights, but had to add an extra night. Which I paid with Debit. Because that payment did not show in their system, I was also charged again on my Visa. So I paid twice for one night, and even though I had the proof the transaction was taken out of my account,I was still charged again on my Visa. Was told this would be seen too and corrected. I have called and sent emails,I have not heard from anyone. Will not be going there again. My wife stays there often for hospital appointments, but not anymore. One extra night ended up costing me $296. Terrible!!
This hotel is really well situated with a load of restaurants and malls nearby. The rooms were basic and a little tired, the lights in the closets only sometimes worked, but thankfully mine was always kept clean by the staff. The balcony did not look like a nice place to be and desperately needed refreshing though.nThe A/C was a little noisy in the bedroom but nothing that would keep me awake, but the lack of a fitted sheet on the bed was a bit strange. The matress was so thick the sheet did not tuck under so was always loose, but the actual bed was comfortable.nThe grey carpet in the lobby was looking a bit worn and grubby and the whole entrance and lift area had a little more conference centre rather than hotel vibe to it. Parking underneath was at least easy to use, but watch your head on the low ceilings! Staff were friendly and helpful when I interacted with them.nAll in all it is not a bad hotel, and I would stay there again if I am ever back in Quebec, and if they change the decor it could be a great hotel.
