Greenspot in Montreal is a fantastic dining destination that I highly recommend for both locals and tourists looking to indulge in delicious Quebec delicacies. I've visited multiple times, and my latest outing was a memorable family gathering with my parents and siblings. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of poutines, beers, and other diner classics that showcase the best of Quebec’s culinary offerings.nnOne of the standout aspects of Greenspot is its inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has maintained its charm over the years, creating a welcoming space where families and friends can come together to enjoy hearty meals. Whether you’re a poutine aficionado or just looking for a satisfying meal, you’ll find something to delight your taste buds.nnThe staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. The vibrant atmosphere makes it a great spot to relax, catch up with friends, or celebrate special occasions. Overall, Greenspot is a must-visit for anyone craving greasy comfort food in a cozy setting. Don't miss out on this Montreal gem that perfectly captures the essence of Quebec's culinary scene!
Excellent food, enough serving for one in whatever you order.nTried their pancakes and French toast and also omelette.nRequested to avoid beans and bacon in both platters.nThey were kind to make omelettes without bacon and add cheese, capsicum & onions insteadnInstead of beans they provided nothing .. although requested for extra hash brown.nnThe Tomato noodlesMarconi’s soup was too delicious and fillingnAlso loved the toasted bread coated with butter along with Jam & Peanut butter as slide lines packets.nnInitial it looked too crowded with long waiting time but the service was fast and in 5-7min we were seated.nThe dining table is too congested & got for only two but we four people had to accommodate.nI guess it is the style that we see in Netflix “The River -dale”
Not every old place retains its charm and this place is the prime example. I was visiting Montreal with friends and my Airbnb host who’s a Quebec local recommended me this place. I went in for breakfast and and initial impression was good and it didn’t seem bad at all.nnThe food was nothing close to being an enjoyable meal. Toast was cold as served, pancakes and French toast weren’t hot either. I specifically asked for fully cooked eggs but they served it almost raw. Fruits were stale and dry- not fresh at all. The only thing good was coffee.nnService was okay until one of the waitresses asked us to finish our breakfast and leave asap as they had people waiting to be seated - this was 30 minutes after our arrival and there were a lot of empty tables. Racism in the place was quite evident our table was a visible minority.nnWhen we walked up to the counter to pay our cheque, the guy behind the counter was rude and asked us to leave a bigger tip after we tipped 10%. He forced us to pay another 15% and made us look like we were being cheap when we were just avoiding to complain about the bad food and service we already paid and tipped for.nnHorrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend visiting this place at all.
Went in for a poutine, got poutine, I had no prior experience on it so I guess it was good and perfect but just not for me. Service was great, the atmosphere was really an authentic diner experience so highly recommend if you like that. Nathans hotdogs looked delicious and one member of our group spoke highly of them. Wine/beer selection was a bit small but I guess they arent the main attraction there.
Great spot in St Henri, I always have breakfast here at least once while visiting Montreal. Love the old world feel to the place and the food is good and plenty. Service not the best but you get your food quickly and it’s tasty.
