I sat at the bar for an afternoon of beer and whiskey because, why not?!. The server suggested the perfect local brew but the star of the place is the extensive whiskey selection. Not just the heavy hitters Scottish, Irish, Bourbon, etc. but also a great selection of other countries. I had a whiskey from Mexico I had no idea that Mexico produced whiskey. Loved the automatic addition of the eye dropper to add a little water if your whiskey choice is a little fiery. All the staff were fantastic and the vibe was fabulous. If you’re in the neighborhood you need to pop in. Heck, if you live 100 km away you need to pop in!
Beautiful pub, very friendly staff. The entire looks like such London vibes, I love it!nTheir fish and chips is excellent. Chicken Massala is delicious and so fresh and full of flavors. You really should try both if you’re into this food. Their beer is great too. Overall great experience and big portions. Will be trying their other menu items!
Wonderful experience. Really enjoy the meals and the restaurant. I specially drove to there to taste scotch egg, they made so delicious over my expectations. Also the salad, surprisingly tasty with the chicken added, all ingredients were so fresh, chicken grilled perfectly cooked with marinated . I was thinking of going back.
First time here but have been to many pubs. This place was definitely crowded and busy. After calling and being told they don’t take reservations, once at the restaurant we were told you should make reservations at least 24 hrs before as we wanted to watch the hockey game. Not once did the young lady who we spoke to ever mention that option and only found out once at the restaurant by the same young lady‍‍‍. Once we got over that and the long wait to get a table, we were seated and our waitress was excellent and partially made up for the initial lack of proper service. The scotch egg was ok. Lacked flavour which usually comes from the sausage portion. The fish & chips was solid with no soggy batter and a good portion of fries. The ladies loved their Cambridgeshire salads with chicken. Samosas were delicious but too spicy for myself. The crème brûlée was excellent. Besides the initial impression upon arrival at 6:30 pm, it was a nice evening. Decent value for the money. Would come back AFTER making reservations.
2024: One of the oldest bars in the area, always busy, nice vibes. It has a big outdoor terrace very popular in summer days, and a sports bar with TVs upstairs. Being popular and crowded means longer wait time for seats and orders. Good selection of food and drinks.nn2025: Nice terrace, worst service ever! The place is good if you're ready to wait for a long time for food. We came on a summer Monday night, not busy and had to wait almost one hour to be served and for food. It took a long time as well just to get our beer. During the wait nothing was offered and waitress didn't come to say anything until we asked. Highly disappointed!
