I LOVE this place. Such a classic cozy night ‘calm night’ that can always turn rowdy. Always a great crowd and service. Very classic English pub, menu and taps included. I always get the Fish and Chips, this time geared toward the Leek and Chicken pie. YUM!! Wish I got the classic greasy fries though, but the mash was ok. Spaghetti was also unreal. Breakfast is always 10/10 too
My coworker and I came here for lunch. It can get busy so make reservation or come before noon. The beers were cold and the food was good. He had the angus burger and I had the Bamger and Mash. It was good but I wouldn’t order it the next time. The burger looks amazing though.
One of the oldest bars in the area, always busy, nice vibes. It has a big outdoor terrace very popular in summer days, and a sports bar with TVs upstairs. Being popular and crowded means longer wait time for seats and orders. Good selection of food and drinks.
We stayed at the terrasse, that was beautifully decorated and clean. The service was good , the waitresses are attentive. We ordered only the samosa and shepherd pie, both good , especially the pie, stuffed with lamb instead of grounded meat. The samosa comea with cheekpees. My critics go to the menu, cause they dont have variety . I also missed originality. But I notice that inside is very beautiful and fancy, maybe the experience would be better .
The aesthetic of this place cozy and lively. The food was top notch and I believe reasonably priced. Large portions were given of which my partner and I could not finish in entirety. We both loved the impressive and extensive whiskey and wine selection. Staff was quick but not intrusive and everyone we spoke to was bubbly and upbeat. We will definitely be coming back!
