Bad experience. First time visiting this facility and the front desk was extremely rude. I ignored her retorts thinking maybe she had a bad day but when I asked if there was a disability parking closer to the entrance since I had fractures and was scared of falling on ice, she said whatever parking is outside park there. Okkkay.... I asked about the pool schedule, disability parking, and fitness facilities, she gave me looks and told me to take a round myself. She said rolling her eyes that she's from Clairview and too busy though I could see the schedule near her and I was the only one there at 9pm, lol. I found there were 3 different small fitness areas without any music and lockers that sometimes don't work. The guard was called to unlock my locker with a special key. Not professional at all, bad experience.

Gym is good, fair amount of equipment, Pool is an option. Expect a low experience level for the other patrons when you go to work out.  The reception in the morning is a special part to me, considering she always has a smile and great attitude.  6am visits and smiles: sign me up.  9$ per visit at this location 61$ for a monthly.  Website has prices for single, multi visit, monthly and annual.  Students and other low income members can fill out an application to get healthy, even if finances aren't in tip top shape.  Love ya grand trunk. 4.5 stars

I like it here because it's close to my house and it's not too busy but points taken off for the place blasting their classic rock in the gym. 99% of people have their headphones in and I guarantee do not want to hear the music at high volumes. I asked them to turn it down but they said it's too hard to do it. Grand Trunk management, if you're reading: please turn down the music!

I love the aesthetic of this place. It looks like it was built in the 1980s with the interior updated for modern times. Spaces are smaller and cozier than compared to say Clareview Rec Center that, in my opinion, are too big and grandiose.  The excercise rooms have that "small town gym" feel and the equipment is brand new and well maintained by staff and gym-goers alike. The pool and wet sauna is adaquately sized for the number of citizens using them. I have not seen the arena but I imagine it follows the principles used in designing the rest of the building.  Surprisingly, I do not see a lot of people coming here even at peak times like evening or early on weekends. Grand Trunks is my favorite recreation center in Edmonton due it is smaller interior design aesthetic and the fact that its never crowded. If these things appeal to you, you should definitely check the place out for yourself.

My pool is closed for the winter so I found grand trunk to be close  I take the ETS ...nice around 2-4 pm  I swim Only ONE issue ...the change room has no private showering space

It's great facilities for what you pay. The pool is really big, but I just used the gym. A fair amount of people use it late night and it's not that big. But it does have a good amount of equipment. I wouldn't say it's better than a full size big gym but it does good for the price

The staff is friendly. The poolside is kind of small to my liking but the steamroom is pretty good. Locker room is big for rec center that size

Worst place in the whole edmonton city and area. The life guards there are too Into your life and won't back off. I enjoy swimming not with a lifeguard attached to my fing leg. Freaks

Lovely facility in a lovely park setting. A decent gym and a  good pool. I swim laps. Also has a steam room. Have been back twice since my initial visit last week.
