GoodLife Fitness Centres

The gym etiquette is really bad: nobody cleans the equipment after using it, they don't put the heavy weights in its place, people stay a long time playing with their phones between sets, or just sitting there, resting I guess. There's always someone cleaning, but the place smells like feet. The place is quite big and has a lot of equipment. However, in general it's too busy and you very often have to wait to use a machine. It looks like there are 30 people working in there but I don't know what they are doing. I went to ask something about drop-ins to the front desk and they could ask a basic question. Said that I had to make an appointment with a memberships seller rep. Some of the people working there are very nice, but many others (the same amount) won't even say hello. It seems like there are mostly interested in selling stuff, more than providing good customer service. I don't blame them. Maybe the company should have less people and pay them better so they provide a better service and are happier. I'm already looking for another place to work-out since this one has too many pet-peeves and instead of being a nice smooth experience it's becoming irritating.

I really like this gym. There is plenty of equipment so it doesn't seem busy. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Excellent location to exercise. Functional equipment, and spacious environment. WiFi is a plus. Friendly staff.

I have been to many Good Life facilities in Ontario and the Manager at the place is always out pitching in keeping the equipment put in its place and has you can see this on the employees there doing the same as well as if someone is doing the exercise incorrectly, they will point it out to the person

They are only in it to sell you a membership and sell you programs, you can get your money's worth at a smaller more independently owned and operated gym. Big franchise's like GoodLife try to get your money and don't care about screwing people over in the process. This is not only my opinion but also from a friend who worked there for four years as a personal trainer. The gym is well maintained and clean but the staff won't help you unless you buy a program or course. No help at all.
