I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Movati.nThe salesperson, Caim, sold me something that was not accurate. On top of that, he behaved unprofessionally by trying to show me pictures of his drawings and tattoos without me initiating or maintaining that type of conversation. It felt inappropriate and irrelevant to the service I was there to receive.nTo make matters worse, I was charged the facility fee again even though I had already paid it. Instead of checking the system or verifying the information, Caim told me he has “around 200 clients” and couldn’t remember everything. That is not an acceptable response. It is not the customer’s responsibility to compensate for poor record-keeping.nI had to escalate the situation to a supervisor, Anthony, and show my bank statement as proof. Anthony handled the situation with professionalism and respect, and I truly appreciated his help.nHowever, I was very disappointed with the lack of follow-up from management. I was told the manager would call me to resolve the issue — that never happened. After waiting a week, I went back in person. Two weeks later, I returned again and was told the manager would call me, even though she was physically present at the facility. A month and a half later, I still have not received any follow-up.nIt feels unfair to be required to make payments on time while the gym shows little urgency or accountability when they are in the wrong. For the amount members pay, the level of customer service and professionalism should be much higher.nVery disappointing experience overall
Movati is a beautiful fitness club with a wide range of facilities. However, as someone who has worked in the fitness industry for decades, there are certain things that genuinely leave me puzzled.nFor example, I don’t understand why members are allowed to work out on the main floor in the free weights area wearing beach flip-flops. Basic safety standards should apply in a training environment.nAt the pool, I’ve seen people swimming with long hair completely loose, only to later remove hair from the water. Pool attire can also be questionable at times. In the sauna, I’ve noticed people sitting fully dressed — even wearing sneakers.nToday, I saw a manager walking through the training area — where people are lifting weights and using machines — wearing high heels with open backs. She appeared to be conducting some kind of inspection. Meanwhile, many of the men training nearby were clearly distracted by her tight dress and deep neckline. Later, I overheard quite a few sarcastic comments about it in the locker room.nIt made me wonder: if she went to a restaurant that positions itself as upscale, and the restaurant manager were dressed in a sleeveless shirt, shorts, and running shoes, what would her reaction be?nI strongly feel that management does not fully understand the professional standards and basic dress code expectations of a fitness club. There seems to be a lack of attention to what is happening in the gym, pool, and sauna areas.nI also had an unpleasant experience some time ago when I politely asked a supervisor not to schedule classes in both pools at the same time, so that members who came for open swim would still have access to one pool. The response was dismissive and rude.nI’m sorry to say this, but this does not reflect the standards of an upscale fitness club.nFor the facilities: 5 stars.nFor management: 2 stars.
Cameron, at the front desk, is fantastic. He always greets me with a hello, wishes me a good workout or says other encouraging words and always with a beautiful and true smile. When I leave, he says good-bye and wishes me a good day. When I have questions or need help, he's always ready to help. And he acts the same with everybody. It adds so much to coming to the gym.
As an elite athlete and coach, I’ve experienced care from many specialists, but my FST session with Dan was uniquely impactful.nnFrom our initial conversation, he listened intently to my pain points. During the session, his thorough, soft-spoken manner and consistently calm, smiling energy created a space that felt immediately safe and reliable.nnWhat impressed me most was the seamless blend of his deep expertise with a genuinely humanistic approach.nnHe wasn’t just applying techniques; he was engaged in a collaborative healing process, completely open to my feedback and suggestions.nnThis level of professional yet personal care is rare.nnDan is a kind practitioner whose years of experience truly shine.nnI left not only feeling better but genuinely understood.nnI recommend him without reservation.
I’m cancelling my membership and will not be returning.nnOn multiple occasions, I attempted to briefly record my own workout form, ensuring no one else was in frame I use a tiny phone clip directly facing me NOT a tripod. Despite this, I am constantly repeatedly accused of recording another member, which was simply not true. I clearly showed that no one else appeared in my video.nnI understand that women who wear the Hijab don’t want to be on camera but Instead of handling the situation professionally, staff interrupted my workout three separate times, without first asking for clarification or reviewing the footage. I felt harassed, singled out, and unfairly treated, rather than supported as a paying member.nnWhat made this worse was the lack of neutrality and professionalism from staff. Rather than de-escalating or verifying facts, the approach felt accusatory and disruptive. I later learned from other members that similar issues with staff behavior have occurred before.nnThis experience completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable workout . Because of how this was handled, I’ve decided to end my membership and will not be returning.nnI would not recommend this gym to anyone who values professionalism, fair treatment, or being able to work out without unnecessary confrontation.
