Golden National

This might be the most bland Chinese food I have ever tasted. There's no flavor! Ginger beef was dry and had no sauce. Pan fried Dumplings are small and were over cooked. Salt and pepper squid was insanely over battered. Fried rice was ok and the vegetable dishes were good. But everything else was tasteless. Also, their takeout containers are smaller than most! Combined with their higher prices and bland flavor, we will not be ordering from here again. Oh...and this is how much vinegar they give you to dip your dumplings in...

We ordered through door dash to have a night off from cooking over the holidays. The food from here was absolutely terrible. The salt and pepper squid had so much batter on it and the squid inside was half slimy and half dried up like petrified wood! How is that even possible? And the chicken in the Cantonese noodles was sour! We threw those two dishes out and My husband and I were still sick all night from the rest of it. When we called the restaurant to tell them they brushed it off and told us to call door dash! They don’t care! Save yourself the money and stomach ache and go elsewhere!

We were there on a Wed night around 6:30pm. The place is empty and we're the only ones there to dine in. However, I noticed couple of people came in for take out orders though. The food is more towards Western Chinese cuisine, so if you want authentic Chinese food, then you needs to go else where

Pre-ordered Christmas Eve dinner for our gathering of 12 people early in the afternoon for delivery at 6pm. Food never arrived and couldnt get a hold of the restaurant. They finally answered the phone at 8pm saying they would look into the status of the order and that they would call us back immediately. They never did. Everyone left hungry and disappointed. Cant speak to the quality of the food as we never got to try it but the service left an incredibly poor taste in our mouths. An apology would have been nice.

Really not sure what’s happened here lately. Been using the place for years, always amazing food. Last 3 times i have ordered it has always been so bland. No flavour whatsoever. I have noticed as well how the prices have gone up, yet the portion sizes have gone done way down. Tonight was m last ever time i will order from here.

Have regularly ordered here for Chinese food for last several year ...ordered again tonight and will not be ordering again...meat dishes dried out and can concur that things have changed. My first thought was a change of owners or cooks food has gone from yummy to hurt my tummy....disappointed for sure....now we need to find a new Chinese food place

The restaurant was not clean. It seems they just do take out because there was no customer care. The food was absolutely disgusting. The veggies were so salty and the pan fried dumblings were burnt. When i showed her how burnt they were she said yes yes we pan fry. She didnt understand english. I asked if Judy the owner was around and she said she solded it. Now i understand. Judy left the golden national in high river and it went down hill. Same with the one in calgary. DISGUSTING!!

So i ordered for delivery about 3 days ago: Man, i have never tasted a spring toll THIS HORRIBLE. All my fam was disappointed at the first bite, we had to throw it out. It tasted gross. There goes $4 wasted. The ginger beef here isnt your usual dark ginger beef. It wasnt your regular taste. Also disappointed in the taste here. So $14 wasted there. We also ordered the breaded chicken and yuck. $13.50 there. Honestly... im disappointed since its close to home but here are some items I recommend are: the honey garlic spareribs, any type of fried rice, pineapple which seemed from a can sweet and sour chicken, and snow pea pods with broccoli. If the owner reads this, I would like my money back for items i had to throw out.

Wow! Such delicious, fresh food. Love perfctly done tender crisp veggies and we got to try a band new dish: chicken curry and it was amazingly good! The service matches the food, 5 star all the way! Thanks Golden National your our new favorite place

So good! My boyfriend recently moved here from Australia and says this is the best Chinese food he’s had here yet! Really great customer service too
