Gold Bistro is a hidden gem in a strip mall in Midnapore. All you can eat Chinese buffet was fresh and hot. Family run and super personable staff and excellent service. Funny enough, being our first time eating here, the patrons that overheard we were newbies were so passionate about recommendations. Honestly, everything was just outstanding, fresh and perfectly cooked. Free parking and lots of it. Worth the drive.

Come for the buffet. My 10 year old son loved the food so much he was dancing in his chair. The food is fresh and they have a good selection of dishes. I assume the menu may be different from non-buffet times. The price is about what you expect, though they do have three tiers of pricing based on age; 1-3, 4-10, and Adult for over 10. So for a family with kids, it is pretty affordable. The owner is very friendly and goes the extra mile to ensure customers are having a pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

Went for Buffet on a Saturday evening. It surprisingly wasn't very busy. The staff we're great and quick on the water refills. Plenty of options in the buffet, and food was really good. Also have several dessert options and a few ice cream flavors to choose from.

Dinner for two is not worth the price. The serving portions are not worth $35 or quite enough for two people for dinner. As well, the ginger beef was mainly breading and hard to chew – seemed like it had been well beyond over cooked.

I hate to leave such a negative review but I just spent $80 on the worst Chinese food I've ever had! The salt and pepper squid seemed like it was leftovers from a day or two ago, it was rock hard on the outside, chewy on the inside and so so bland! The ginger beef was just "ok" and both the Shanghai noodles and the curry chicken were flavorless! The curry chicken hardly even had any chicken at all, I'd say the dish was 95% vegetables! I cook alot of Asian food and could have made better dishes than this, without even trying but after a long work week, I really really wanted a good meal without having to cook and now I am full of regrets! Never again

Not a huge amount of selection food but everthing I had was freshly cooked and tasty . It was at a very good price - $15.99 for the lunch buffett.

Went to this place for the lunch buffet. I arrived just as they opened and had to wait a bit for the food to arrive. I was totally fine with that because I was getting it fresh and hot. The first thing to come out was the wonton soup. It was delicious. Probably one of the best I have had. Apparently it is made entirely in-house. The remaining dishes were also quiet good. The crispy items were crispy and everything was flavourful. They had a good selection of main dishes and desserts. For the price it is an excellent value.

This small, family owned business is fantastic!! The selection might be smaller than the more commercial buffets, but they had all my favorite dishes, and they were fresh and flavorful! It's quality over quantity here, which is a refreshing change of pace, and the service is next level. Allen, who was working thr front, checked on us repeatedly and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. He even asked us which dishes we were looking for, and brought out fresh dumplings and chicken wings. At our request. At a buffet!! Blew my mind.
