I bought rice from this location and it had rice weevils in it. Basically, little brown bugs. First time, I returned to get a refund, I was told I could only exchange for another brand of the same rice that costed more because I did not come with the original packaging. The attendant assured me it was a better brand. I complied. I came back approx a month or 2 later and bought the ‘better rice” again.and soaked the rice before using it. There were rice weevils in it too. Knowing the routine I went back to the store with the packaging for a full refund. The interaction with the vendor was always peaceable and never rude however the concern is that those bugs love dry foods and would have spread into the dry foods in our home.
I've bought samosas here on occasion, but no longer. I work next door, and sometimes I park in a non-designated parking spot in front of their store. The owners have twice made a point to tell me not to park there because they claim it scares away customers. There are over 100 parking spots in front of the store, because we're in a plaza. Well they've certainly scared me away. I will not take my business there again.
Bought expired product 2 different times here. Never coming back.
I've been going to this store for a lot of years, and can't say enough about how easy they make everything. Definitely a one-stop shop for everything you need for Indian, Thai, and many other cuisines. The hard to find and unusual is not, here; I have always been very happy with product quality, and freshness. Always friendly and helpful. Grab some Samosas to take home; they're as good as any I have ever had.
Clerk was very helpful. She made sure that I had all the ingredients for my recipe list, even if I had trouble with the names.
BEWARE OF BUYING HERE.................. I called the store yesterday as I needed a pot for my puja and the lady helped me by sending a picture but my friend could not reach there as they closed the store early and the next day they open late, due to mismatch in the time I was not able to get the product. The owner calls me and gets mad at me telling me that she put so much effort and i did not pick up the pot, All i want to say is that when a customer asks for something that does not mean that they have to buy it, You should never call a customer and get mad at them. What you did is customer service and its appreciated but you need to learn not to call back and get angry. Absolute rubbish what you did, I will never ever recommend anyone to buy from your store because of your Attitude otherwise you will get angry if they do not buy anything from your store.
I've never written a review but this must be said. This place has been of poor quality for years. A week ago I decided to give them another chance. I bought their samosas. They were drenched in oil, soggy, and over priced considering the quality. The must not have any respect for their customers.
Update: It is messed store for sure they also have one of worst quality products. I bought raisins and there were insects in it. Next I bought Heena which didn't give any color. They need lots of improvement in arranging stuffs. They don't have good choices for items, very limited selection.
Owner is a fool. Would not let my pregnant daughter who is 8 months pregnant use his washroom. Kept repeating like a broken record that it is "not a public washroom." When we challenged him politely he would answer that he is not going to discuss the issue. Is this guy for real? People! He would not let a pregnant woman use his washroom! A pregnant woman! When she had to use it badly! He made her go out in the rain to go to another place to ask when his washroom was right there! How is this acceptable. We dropped 40 bucks on samosas and he still did not let an 8 month pregnant woman use his washroom! We were regular customers and will never step foot in his establishment again. People that think and act like that fool do not deserve my business or yours. If you go there to buy anything stop and think to yourself, this guy did not let a pregnant woman use his washroom, then decide whether you want to support that type of individual. I won't.
My whole father and I always go there, customer service always great. The owner is very nice guy.
