Great place in the downtown area. It's a smaller space but that gives it a very cozy and lively atmosphere when it's full, which it was when we went. The games selection is really good, they have around 3 TVs setup with various consoles with a lot of retro and somewhat more recent games. They also have a huge variety of board games and card games for different size groups. The milkshakes were really good. I wasn't a big fan of the nachos but that's not a big issue. Some of the food on the menu that we didn't try also looked like it'd be good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is the best out of 3 board game cafes I've been to so far.
Came with a group of friends. Huge amount of board games to pick from, and love the ambiance of the place. The unicorn milkshake was delicious and the pizza, antijitos were quite good as well. Service was good although server forgot some items a few times, and one friend ended up having to ask several few times to get their item.
Staff were extremely friendly & fun, I wish I'd had the smarts to remember to take a photo of the drink I ordered, it's to die for, huge line up of boardgames, tabletoprpgs, videgames, good food, good prices will be coming back Vegetarian options: They have multitude of different options Wheelchair accessibility: I'm fairly confident it's friendly
A perfectly fun date night with my wife! They had a section of games specifically for two players separated for ease of finding, and when we came in, I asked for a recommendation, and received a quick but thorough rundown of Onitama by the fantastic staff member. We loved the choice, and after a few rounds played another excellent and unique game Odin's Ravens. We also ordered cocktails Ent draught and Jean-Luc and they were excellent, then ordered a pretzel pizza to take home, and my wife and I loved it. The crust was SO tasty! We had a night away from the kids for the first time in forever, and the theatre options weren't appealing, so we picked this on a whim. It was just a wonderful time, and a great break from the regular dinner-movie shtick.
Great place. Great atmosphere, TONS of games, and just enough food options to get by. Could do with some more filling/healthier options but eh, it's ok. Wish they had nutritional information available, thought that was mandatory on the menus in Canada but I suppose not. Be sure to book ahead on Wednesday though, busiest night of the week. Definitely check this out for board game fun though!
Hands down best cafe I've been to in Kitchener. The French Vanilla shake tastes awesome and comes in a very cool glass. As an avid table top game player this place was like heaven with the great aesthetics and large range of board games. The staff and community are super friendly and make you feel comfortable. I suggest visiting on Wednesdays to join in on some of the games and try something new. 10 out of 10, would visit regularly.
What a cool place to hang out with friends. Tons of games selections, board games, cards and roleplaying games. The board games are selected by someone who has done the foot work. Some of the top board game winners for the last couple years. Food selection is limited but typical of a non full kitchen. They have great treats all done with a fantasy flair. Including the adult drinks. This is a place to bring kids during the day, and friends or a date after 5.
This place has a really nice atmosphere. Good food and drinks. I miss the paninis though, they had good ones a few years back. Games are in alphabetical order but it's still hard to find them sometimes. The videogames are a huge plus.
Incredible atmosphere, really excellent decor, and amazing food!
Lots of games. Friendly staff. I really enjoy the decorations. It can be very busy sometimes. It is the only place that you can buy coffee in downtown kitchener late at night.Food: 5/5
