TIP: The front half of the restaurant is a super cool space, the back half by the bathrooms is completely different. It feels awkward and lacks ambience. Make a reservation and make sure you're seated in the front half. Every bite of food I put in my mouth was delicious!! The pork chop was perfectly cooked. The Gouda mac n cheese was decadent. The winter salad was perfectly balanced. And I can't recommend the chicken cordon blue sandwich enough. Service was wonderful too!
I've walked by this spot quite a bit and finally decided to give it a go. The underground vibe was in full swing and the space was definitely cool. After debating for a while I went for the Pan Roasted Pork Chop which was a great choice. They had a porter from Icicle Brewing out of Leavenworth, WA that was fantastic. My only gripe with the place, which is a weird one admittedly, is that the acoustic property of our booth seemed to cancel out my voice. An odd gripe, but it made it weird to talk during dinner. Overall, great food, great location, and great drinks! Definitely worth a visit!
I've been here before with a friend and it was great. Wanted to share the experience with my husband. We had our date night and it was phenomenal! We tried a bunch of stuff but my favorite drink was the unicorn Martini it has whipped cream on top. My husband really enjoyed every other drink that I ordered. We did have the duck wings and those were amazing! Still my favorite thing on the menu. The Salmon dish was amazing too, and I had the unicorn burger and fries. Bocce rolls were amazing per usual! Be careful the chili is deceiving it's super hot and you can't tell really, the chili was my least favorite out of everything.
This place is a hidden gem! There's a doorway on the side of the building you go through & follow the stairs down to the host station. The venue is an old building the has be re-purposed into the restaurant giving it a speak easy vibe. The menu is AMAZING and the food is FANTASTIC. The tots with mushrooms was SO good. The meatloaf was a favorite too.
The atmosphere is so much fun! Love the history of the building! The service is fantastic. The food is delectable, especially the appetizers. Ask the bartender to make you something off the menu, you won’t be disappointed!!! I had a whiskey shrub - best craft drink I’ve had in Spokane!
I went here for my Birthday Dinner and it was better then expected. Food was 10/10 The atmosphere from music to scenery was amazing! Our waiter even gave me a free birthday desert. When we come back to Spokane the Gilded Unicorn is a must. Reservations are recommended!
This place is so lovely. It it's a hidden gem under ground. You take the stairs down to a warm cozy dimly lit dining area and bar made of cobblestone and brick. There was a loud group at the bar, but we were able to sit in a little cove away from all of the noise. The service was delightful. Our first round of drinks were tasty and refreshing. The meals were DELICIOUS. The pork chop was tender and juicy and full of flavor. The maple mustard was a surprising perfect pair with the pork and the Mac. The Tater Tot casserole was sophisticated, and definitely deserves a more sophisticated name. The flavors blended so well and the varied textures were perfect. Even the jalapeños were just right, not too spicy, just a great addition to the flavor. Our last round of drinks were a great dessert. Ending this meal with a signature unicorn cocktail. I can't wait to return!
Dropped by here last night on the recommendation of one of the front desk staff at the hotel I'm staying at down the street who's restaurant was closed for the evening. So glad I did. Last night I had the Bison Meatloaf. It was delicious. So much so, this evening I decided to return. Tonight I had a Dark Side of Manhattan whiskey, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, and orange bitters the Pan Roasted Pork Chop for my entree, and Banana Fosters Bread Pudding for dessert. All of it extremely tasty. Service is very good as well. I am so happy to have been referred here. If you are in Spokane, the small, fun decor Gilded Unicorn is worth a visit. Or two. Or three. :
We were promptly greeted upon arriving by the lovely hostess who despite us having no reservation was able to slide us into her last available table. The atmosphere and style were reminiscent of a 1920s basement speakeasy. After placing our orders, we only waited about 15 minutes before our food was promptly served to us. My partner opted for the honey brined chop with maple mustard, gouda mac n cheese, bacon braised kale, whereas I had the sparkle burger with house made beer cheddar and bacon jam. Both were absolutely to die for!! Our service was excellent and everything was on par, a well-earned five stars, and definitely a visit for any avid foodie!!
Set up reservation online for after Wicked. They were soo busy we had to wait for our reservation to get in great food, great service, fun environment and they never disappoint. I appreciate them working so well with a rowdy table of 8, like us. Features: No masks required
