Steam Plant Restaurant & Brew Pub
"The Steam Plant Restaurant & Brew Pub building has been a readily identifiable Spokane landmark having tall smokestacks and high arched windows that have graced the Spokane skyline since 1916. Although the Steam Plant has been renovated to become a multi-use facility, much of the original steam plant is still in place. The building now houses small-business offices, a restaurant, a bar, and a wine room. The businesses are located on the top three floors, while the restaurant is on the main floor, and the bar and wine room are below. The family-friendly restaurant serves a variety of dishes from shareable appetizers to hamburgers to steaks, pasta, and pizza. The desserts are rich and sinfully delicious."

Every time I come here I like it more. I went on a Thursday night and realized that they actually have live music on Thursday nights from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. It was a nice touch. It’s just a fun place to not only eat with adults and children like but also a fun place to explore. Once you order your food, why wait at the table with nothing to do? You can go explore the steam plants history and see unique places in the building. With all its fascinating architecture, and history. You surely will never be bored at this place. It’s also a great venue for weddings, corporate to get together’s and birthdays. Were you need a large venue that can accommodate your group. And if you’re wondering about prices, I have found that it’s very comparable to the average restaurant in Spokane. Well, it seems fancy the prices do not reflect that. I love that they have other businesses in the same building that creates a more inclusive atmosphere.
Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. So much history in that building. Took a walk around to the stacks and the fire box before we ate. A group of 4 of us; one had the sirloin and they enjoyed, could have used a little pepper; next had the smokestack burger, wasn't a fan of the bun, but enjoyed the burger itself and the beer cheese soup was amazing; another got the prime rib dip, meat needed more seasoning, the horseradish was a little overwhelming but the Mocksville was good, and last I had the Korean chicken sandwich and it was fantastic, that sauce was amazing. I had the steak bites as well, and they were excellent with the peppercorn sauce . My glass of red wine was very tasty.
Food was great and the inside of the steam plant is a must see. The service was fast and friendly in the bar area. What really sets this place apart is how awesome the inside of the building is! You have to walk around and explore abit because there are a lot of awesome things to see.
We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. The server was polite, but it took almost 20 minutes to get our first drinks and an hour to get the food, which was luke warm. The food was good, but it would have been better hot. Every dish at the table was luke warm, so it is not like one dish took longer than the others to prepare. We did inform the server, who offered one free desert to go, but there were 4 of us. The table beside ours had even slower service. At this price point, I expect much better food and service.
Beautiful restored industrial architecture and excellent food and service. We've been here a few times and it's always been great. We tried the Happy Hour and some Mocktails and it did not disappoint. Our server was very attentive, and the atmosphere was awesome.Food: 5/5
Love their Tequila Sunrise drink super strong! And the best artichoke dip!!!!!! Staffs were super friendly made me and my friend feel so welcome though we came in last min. Interior just wowed and the Exterior looks amazing at night but little hard to find if you are first timer.
The building with all the history behind it was awesome. I highly recommend walking through the whole building and each level and look at all the cool history. The food was great. Really fast service and great staff. It's a must in spokane
This place is awesome! Situated in downtown Spokane, Washington and still had original brick steam stacks that you can actually walk into. The food is amazing and the service was excellent. We have eaten here a handful times and definitely recommend if visiting the Spokane, Washington area. It’s a short 30min ride if your visiting Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
The atmosphere here is breathtaking, and going here is worth it just for that. We felt mixed about the food though. My mushroom pasta was superb, with a lot of depth and flavor. My wife had the Bistro Sirloin and it was a bit disappointing, so minus one star. I tried it too and had to agree The steak needed a little more seasoning. This may be because of a missing sauce. It was supposed to have a bacon mushroom cream sauce but in reality it was just a small pile of mushrooms. The oil from the beans put more liquid on the plate so I wouldn't call it a sauce at all. The beans themselves, though well cooked, were also lightly seasoned. Overall we really enjoyed the night and our visit here and would definitely give it another chance .
Took my friend here for dinner. Everything was on point from the staff to the cool decor/ authentic steam plant setting. The food was great!
