Genesis Family Restaurant

We have always enjoyed the food at Genesis. My church group wanted a catered meal for Valentine's Day and I decided to see if Genesis catered. Sherman was very helpful arranging to cater for 50+ people. He arranged the menu and would make special arrangements for allergies, etc. It was a great experience. The food was delivered and set up on time and efficiently. The food was great! There was lots, even enough for many to take their favorite dishes home. The lemon chicken was exceptional, as was the ginger beef and cashew chicken. I have no hesitation recommending the restaurant in general and the catering in particular. Great job Genesis!!!

Dim sum is absolutely amazing! My family has been going there since I can remember! However they're kitchen is absolutely disgusting. If you look on other sites there are many cases of cockroaches in customers food. With how busy and popular this place is you'd think they would spend some money to relocate or atleast clean their restaurant up. Would probably result in better business. As much as I love they're food I will not be returning until this issue is resolved.

Our first restaurant meal of 2020 and it was excellent! Had the Szechuan Seafood Birdnest and the Chicken & Green Peppers w/Black Bean sizzling plate & steamed rice. Very spicy, so good. The birdsnest was the best, so crispy and spicy. Excellent - and we were the only ones in there on a Thursday at dinner time! Recommended!!

Great overall restaurant! One of our favourite places to get dim sum. All the food is great and the service is on point! Would highly recommend checking this place out. Order the deep-fried shrimp dumplings and DF squid.

Don't order delivery from here. We tried a couple times to give them a fair chance since the food here used to be really good, but every time we've had it delivered it comes overcooked or cold or missing pieces or just plain gross. The last couple times I sat in the restaurant I had hair in my food as well. It's a shame, I used to recommend their ginger beef to everyone. I won't be coming back.

First time ordering from the place... Did a delivery order, lady on the phone was rude, food was mostly over cooked, 2 of the 3 items to be exact. Food arrived warm at best & the Crab Rangoon had No crab as I took 3 apart & all were crab less... I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone & I work in the Hotel Industry & get asked all the time for places I would recommend to eat... This is hands down the place NOT to go, not to mention, for the quality of the food, extremely OVER priced. If less then one star were possible they would have been given it no questions asked...AWFUL

Best dim sum around, the crab Rangoon is to die for ! Has been one of my families go-to restaurants for years and my relatives always have to stop there when in Saskatoon. The service is only a little slow when they’re super busy on weekend mornings/lunches , but other than then their service is pretty fast !

I am very disappointed at this restaurant. I have not ordered from them for the past 12 months for this same reason. Yesterday, I ordered via phone around 1735 and I wanted it delivered to my house. The food did not arrive until 1935. 2 hours seriously. While in fact I was told I will get the food in 1hour which is still okay. The food arrived and it was tasteless, the rice was hard and cold, one of the food items poured all over the place. Myself and my friend literally couldn't eat the food. We were very disappointed. Please if the owner of the restaurant is reading this, please make changes. Thank you

We have been going here for many years. In fact our daughter worked here for a few years. The recipes don't change even with charging owners and that is what the long term customers want. It is main stream middle class dim sum and asian food with a good flavour.

Used to love, love, love this place. My family has been eating here for years. After reading their most recent health inspection, we will never eat here again. Please know if you’re planning on eating here, they had about 12 healthcode violations as of October 11th. They are going to make someone sick. Be aware.
