Come get a little taste of Prince Edward Island at Gahan House Halifax!
The Gahan House name has always meant high quality food, great beer, and an unforgettable experience. The Murphy Groups foray into beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2014 has added even more to the Gahan experience, with an oyster bar that serves world famous Malpeque Oysters.
Malpeque Oysters are known for their fresh taste and decadent flavor, and originate in our first home of Prince Edward Island. They go great with a fresh handcrafted Gahan Ale, which is brewed just a few hours away at our P.E.I brewery.

We had seats outside close to the water. The weather was warm and when it started to get chilly at night they came around with blankets. The service was excellent the beer was really good, it was craft beer. We had some appetizers nachos Etc good portion and the service was quick. Waitresses were always around so you didn't have to wait too long for a refill. Highly recommended we had out-of-town company from the states who also were very impressed with the Gahan house.

You can't beat the view from this place - sitting right on the harbour. The beers are made in-house and offer new tastes each time. I enjoy the oyster bar paired with a local wine. When the weather is chilly the place feels warm and inviting.

This place is right next to the harbour front with nice view if you choose to sit outside. They brew their own beer so you can try that for sure. We ordered fish and chips, broccoli salad and sweet potato fries which comes with an amazing mustard ranch. There's lot more that could be ordered..try this place I'm sure you'll like the view and food!

Seafood chowder is DELICIOUS!! It definitely outshined my lobster roll. We each tried a beer flight (as they make their own brews there too!) The blueberry ale is absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed the Beach Chair Lager too (but that one is not their beer).

Great beer. Decent food. I just wish they were quicker. Don't come here if you are short on time. Otherwise, it's a great place to eat and hangout with friends. Beautiful view of the waterfront.
