Four Points by Sheraton Grande Prairie

Have stayed here for sporting purposes for 3 years. Every year has been great, this year they have changed their policies and teams cannot gather in the meeting room downstairs to eat with outside food because of the restaurant on the premises. So stay away unless you want to cram a sports team into one of your rooms to feed them with food or snacks you bring into the hotel now.nPerfect location for sports teams across from the arena but very inconvenient now. Stay away unless you want to feed your team every meal at the restaurant on the premises. They are very rude as well when explaining the changes. Heads up teams!

The hotel and staff went the extra mile to welcome and serve my wife and I on our small anniversary getaway,nThey graciously upgraded our room to their best suite and surprised us with a cheese cake dessert.nThank you for helping make our special day even better!

I had a week reservation from work. I was quite disappointed with the stay.nThe Room I received was aged. However, it was very clean and tidy. Housekeeping does a good job to clean the rooms. The hotel is very quiet.nnWireless was very spotty. Doing a speed test showed only 3Mbps wifi speed. This made it difficult to do any work. I even called the front desk and asked if I could pay for an internet upgrade, but they did not have an upgrade. They did not have an Ethernet port to connect my work laptop.nComplimentary breakfast was just one item from a menu, and the portions are very small.nnThe staff however, were very friendly and courteous.nThe Wendell Clark's Bar & Grill was really good. They have a good gym and pool.nBut I am disappointed as I have stayed at other Four Points, and the experience was totally different.nIt can't be the region, because I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Conference - Grande Prairie, and the hotel was much better with internet Wifi speed of 70mbps, and they had option to connect to an Ethernet port, as well. The breakfast buffet and portions were great there too...nnUPDATE: I bought up the WiFi issue with the Front desk manager, who connected me to Tech Support. Tech Support upgraded the Internet speed level to 20Mbps. Not the best, but it's much better than the earlier Tier level. This speed upgrade is only for 24-hours. You need to call Tech Support every day to upgrade the Tier speed level.nThanks to the manager: Kress Hagen who assisted me with my concern.

Rooms are clean.nThe lobby is huge and a lot of areas to sit and it always smells great.nThe Wendel Clark restaurant is decent. Now that they have finally completed the renos.nMy preferred stay in GP now. It is close to so many amenities.nThe staff are well trained and super friendly.

I stayed here for a week with my crew, and the hotel made our extended stay feel comfortable and convenient. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, and the kitchenette was perfect for prepping quick meals. We appreciated the free parking and laundry facilities, which made life on the road much easier. The staff even helped us with snow removal on a busy morning. The new restaurant renovation is shaping up to be a great addition-looking forward to trying it soon.
