I came to the gym around 3:00am and noticed that the building was accessible without a membership card. As I was entering, two homeless men were attempting to get through the gates and asked me if I had a key. When I was leaving, they tried to enter through the gates as I exited.nThis made me feel unsafe, especially during unstaffed hours. I strongly recommend ensuring that the first entrance door remains locked and requires an active membership card at all times, particularly when no staff members are present.nSafety should be a top priority for members who use the facility late at night.

Capilano location used to be good and safe. Then they got rid of scanning your card to get in the front doors and this morning at 430 I was greated by 4 junkies doing needle drugs as I scanned my membership card to go through the turnstile to access the gym. I used the security button in the gym and someone came on a loud speaker for 5 minutes said your trespassing please leave. And of course they didny and no one showed up. I will be going in today to speak to a managernAlso. They dont force a hygiene policy. And it gets really stinky. Update #1- spoke to manager didnt seem overly concerned. Said he would bring it up at staff meeting.nUpdate #2 went in the morning at 445 march 2 and only one junkie inside today but drug bag on the bench inside the club. Most likely from someone working out. Paper towel on the floor in the same spot since Friday.

— Still the best gym in the city. Period.nnEvery gym has equipment, but not every gym has heart.nnThis location has something rare—people on staff who care. There’s one gentleman in particular if you go here, you know who I mean who consistently goes above and beyond. He’s the kind of person who remembers your name, notices when you’re having a tough day, and will always make time to help without making you feel like a burden. The kind of energy that quietly transforms the whole environment for the better.nnHe’s respectful, knowledgeable, kind, and the actual backbone of this location. If he ever leaves? So do I.nnI’ve watched people grow more confident here—not just physically, but mentally. That’s what happens when a gym becomes a safe space, not just a place to lift weights. Whoever hired him made the best staffing decision they’ll ever make. I just hope management is smart enough to see it before they lose a real one.

I would like to say how much I love this gym. I go here everyday during the week and it's always clean, barely busy and the staff are really amazing. I really want to recognize Ken and his team. They always go above and beyond.nnOne thing I will add though is the audio in the gym is lacking. There is an audio loop in the system where you hear the same signal twice but one is just slightly delayed and it's very annoying. I hear they're having someone come in to fix it but I haven't seen any progress on that yet. Other then that, I hear there are plans to build a black card area and a reduction of cardio machines; this should happen soon! nnThanks,nLee

May and Avnit are diligent when it comes to cleaning.nVery good people.nJayden is a good boy.nThe 3 stars is because there is no showers, took forever to get a fountain, and no chalk.nThe staff is very good, not hating on the staff just the facility.
