Firefly Credit Union - Maple Grove

Don’t bank with Firefly. Ridiculous fees that they never tell you about, rude employees.

I normally go to Firefly's Bloomington branch, but I was in Maple Grove and needed to make a deposit. I pulled into the drive-through lane and was the only customer. I sent my two checks, with personalized deposit slip, and after about 10 minutes was told that my deposit needed manager's approval. After another 5 minutes, I buzzed the teller to check the status and was told that the manager was "busy with some other people." After another 5 minutes, the teller said that I had to come inside and see the manager in person. Frustrated, and now late for an appointment, I told her to send my checks and deposit slip back out to me. She sent them to the wrong drive-through lane and I had to get out of my car (through the passenger door) to retrieve them. Then the plastic door to the chute wouldn't open to put the empty tube back in. It's kinda funny now, but this was definitely the worst drive-through experience I've ever had in more than 30 years of banking. I went back to my regular branch in Bloomington the next day and my deposit was handled by the drive-through teller in under 5 minutes!
