Super cute place with friendly staff and fun drinks. Plus they have "market-style" food, where you can make a selection and they will warm it up for you or you can take it to go. Great addition to the neighborhood!
Fun bar with taquitos, cocktails, and beer. The taquito flavors rotate and sometimes they have special ones like they did this past Halloween.Food: 5/5
Kite String has been one of our favorite warm weather places to visit since it's been open, that little northwest facing patio the site of many drinks, chips, and taquitos consumed. The staff here are wonderful, very friendly people who are always happy to make a drink to your liking, or to chat about whatever's on the television, the radio, or being discussed at the bar. The drinks are always very well made, consistent with the cost. Honestly, it's the food that somehow always catches me by surprise - for some reason I never expect it to be as great as it is, yet, I'm always impressed. Even something as simple as chips and salsa is done to damn near perfection. A really cool neighborhood spot that you should never sleep on. I'm not a regular, but I definitely want to become one!
Great casual hang for good cocktails, excellent craft beer selection, and homemade taquitos. Their rotating “bubblers” which are pre mixed simple cocktails are dangerously good as is their on tap margs watermelon mezcal marg… wow and sangria. The service is some of the nicest and they definitely add to the casual, come as you are vibe. Not really a late night spot as they close around 11, but that’s the vibe they give off. In addition to the great bar service, the staff also curates a weekly food club which is a big box of locally sourced groceries. Some of the boxes I’ve enjoyed have been a DIY pork milanesa, Turkey mole, and pozole. Just a wonderful service to the community to be able to promote local farms and artisans. Check ‘em out!
Came here once and was a bit turned off by the pre made taquitos. Wanted something fresh. I was So wrong! They are as fresh as they get and delicious with rotating flavors. Great cocktails! Friendly staff! Must try if you’re in the area
I LOVE Kite String and Chef Renee makes the best taquitos it's a great spot to grab a drink and a bite for dinner or chill for an afternoon on the weekend. If you can get your hands on the highly coveted cheeseburger taquitos, you will not regret it!
Excellent cocktails from a creative bartender, Damian. Test him on a Momday night. The vibe is totally chill and comfortable. The menu looks incredible: taquitos, beet chips and dips. Next time I'm coming hungry. You should too!
Chill, local bar. Solid local beer draft list, with a focus on tequila/mezcal cocktails as well. Don't forget the rotating selection of taquitos! Looks like there might be an outdoor patio as well when the weather cooperates!
This bar is the BEST. Chillest staff, tastiest and most unique! cocktails, and such a relaxing vibe! It's my favorite place to meet friends for a drink because it's never too loud in there to hear each other speak. When it's warm out, they have a lovely little patio and open all the windows!
Great spot. Their beer list is super-solid, cocktails are awesome and the have a fantastic food menu filled with delicious munchies. I’ll be back soon for sure.
