I've been vising Eastwood Medical Clinic for the better part of 10 years. The people who work at this clinic are wonderful. Every time I've dropped in or had an appointment, though usually very busy, the front staff have been friendly, and the doctors I've seen have been really great as well. With that said, this clinic does have some operational issues. The front staff appear very overwhelmed with tasks and managing patients, and can't always answer the phones. Most calls go immediately to hold and are dropped after a long wait. Appointments in my experience are usually 30 - 45 minutes after the scheduled time, which though isn't terrible, could be better. This isn't a bad clinic, but some changes do need to be made to improve responsiveness.
Takes them 3 weeks or more to get back to you with your results. Whether it be blood tests, scans, MRIS, etc. I have had 2 separate incidents where they booked my appointment and then set it to the wrong date in their system or I get there and the doctor has decided to go home and they didn’t call any of his appointments to notify them. Lack of courtesy, customer service and basic knowledge. They refuse to do phone appointments for people out of town or in need to minimize in contact due to Covid. Receptionists are rude and disorganized. They need better phone skills, greeting skills and systems in place. Took my husband & Is health care else where. Sad to see a clinic go to waste.
I was not happy with the young reception. Both receptionists had their backs facing the counter. The younger one was texting on her personal phone. I made a sound. She turns around in the most unfriendly manner. May I help you she asks. I was notpmease with her unprofessional attitude. I am only assuming she is there for the cheque. I do jot recommend this clinic.
I called 811 and they sent me to this clinic. Staff was nice and accommodative. The Dr. was on point and good listening and explaining the plan we were going to follow. A very quick visit but got what I needed.
I have been visiting Eastwood medical clinic for the last 3 month . They dont know the meaning “book an appointment” they dont follow it .you have to wait for hours never seen doctor at my appointment time . Recent appointment was 1 pm but i see doctor at 2:10 . They don’t have value for our time !
I was on hold for 15 minutes on the phone They kept hanging up on me and when I finally got through they told me panifically walk-ins are over at 3:30 , I got there at 2:20 today. They denied my son after they told me on the phone they had room for walk-ins the staff was really rude to me. The clinic washrooms were disgusting never going back there again
Absolutely Amazing Staff My Doctor Aktar Very incredible Doctor and all That are At This Pharmacy Specialists Absolutely Amazing!.....All I can say best incredible staff, Pharmacy, Doctors I have ever met through out 8 years. Great Job Eastwood Medical.....Very Recommended
Was told over the phone that they were taking new patients for one of their doctors. They told me to make an appointment which I did then when I came in, they told me no there is no doctor for you. Do you will have to go on a huge waiting list.. what a waste of time
Dr. Akter has taken over my care since my leaving Vancouver and moving to Edmonton. I had a fabulous array of doctors in Vancouver and was concerned about leaving them behind. Well……I most certainly lucked out. There’s many reasons. The pharmacy service and care is exceptional by any standards. The medical staff are very welcoming and personable. The office staff are very accommodating and pleasant. No long waits for appointments. And….of course……Dr Akter. She has wrestled me down and taken firm control over my several health issues. I am health stress free as are my wife and two sons.
The front staff here are out of this world - kind, helpful, go above and beyond. They're amazing. The doctors are great as well - they take my concerns seriously, refer me to others who can help when they can't. The only downside is they have a lot of rotation of doctors - as long as you're comfortable seeing more than one physician it's ok.
