Edgewater Medical Clinic

Hey all!! I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the Medical staff and doctor's at the Rain Medical first you get to talk to wonderful caring staff. This clinic is not only medical they also care enough to help you!! I appreciate the time I have received to get help with medical reasons! DR. Journi has been a lot of help for me and of corse to others. I have never been rushed, or felt I wasn't listed to. Wonderful Pharmacy great people!! I would highly recommend going and getting your shots, I haven't felt the needle yet. The pharmacists are so nice and friendly Thankyou all for amazing service !!

This is my new family clinic. The staff are always friendly, polite and professional and always call to confirm my appointment with the doctor the day before. Like most doctors I do have to book a week or so in advance but my physician only works part-time. That said my doctor is worth the wait. She is very good. I highly recommend this medical facility.

I have weekly appointments at an exact time and I come in early by a few minutes. Right now I had to wait almost a whole hour in the lobby to actually get taken in. This is ridiculous and I wish I could give half a star. I had to wait another 10 minutes in the doctors office before they came in to give me my injection which takes less than a minute. Huge waste of my time

If it was their own practice, I would say the world is their oyster, but they work at a pharmacy/clinic that is funded by the Government of Alberta that is in-turn publicly funded through general tax revenues. Care should be all-inclusive unless there is a good reason for a physician to choose not see anyone. You 100% absolutely have the right to decline to something you are not comfortable in doing, but when you automatically decline clients based off their gender, that is scary especially in such an important profession. From what I've seen online via reviews so I'll take it with a grain of salt, when a male patient was seen by Dr. Bushaala, they weren't giving proper care or procedure and that is just disheartening. What if you are a single-parent father trying to take your son or daughter to see a physician, should you deny them care? Care is a necessity, so declining people based off their gender or the gender of the parent is unethical. Do better for everyone.

I wanted to have a family physician at this location because I don’t drive and I live across the street. I have many medical issues like heart failure, diabetes, fibromyalgia, PTSD, poly cystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, Lichen sclerosis. I went for the meet and greet and I believe that I presented myself well, and all I want is to have a location that is in walking distance to see a doctor for prescription refills. The doctor rejected me as a patient and would not say why the doctor rejected me. There can only be one of two reasons and I feel that if she did not want me as a patient because of all of my issues and she should have had the courage to treat me as a human being and tell me what the reason is. I can handle the truth. I was up front with all of my diagnosis and with all the specialized treatments that I have in place and who my specialists are and their treatments. The second reason might be that the doctor had a bias against me that she was not comfortable with treating me as a patient. The front end staff are very friendly and professional the clinic is very clean and inviting and there is a good pharmacy on site. I will use the site as a emergency medical centre but I need a family physician desperately that is within walking distance.

There is a reason we need private healthcare in Alberta. Clinics like this are part of the problem. No personal care, 50 clients in one day, hearding people through 1 doctor. What a nightmare.

Great doctors and friendly front end staff! They are super bust but manage as best they can. Dr. Bushaala is a fantastic female doctor.

This is the third clinic I've been to today: the other two were disorganized, dirty, dark, and would have required me to wait for hours. Edgewater is clean and bright, with friendly and helpful staff. I waited 20 minutes to see the doctor who was polite and efficient. In and out inside of half-an-hour. I even had enough time to get the imaging work done! I'm not sure I want to recommend... when everyone figures out how good this place is there'll be lineups :

I called to confirm an appointment today 14 minutes on hold and was told I would be charged $80 cash only? for a pre op note. My surgery is on Friday. I called last week to book this appointment. No one told me then. I will never go back there. There's no wait times because of their lack of service in general. Go there at your own risk.

Dr journi is great. Unfortunately the front receptionists brought the stars down. Incompetent, rude and argumentative. Stars are for Dr. Journi's professionalism and care.
