Capilano Medical Center

So far having really good experiences walking in on the clinic twice now. Doctors are nice and accommodating. The lady up front treated my kid like my own. So far no issues with them having clear and concise information with matters regarding myself and my family.

Everytime I go into the clinic, the receptionists smile, and say hi. They attend to me ASAP. I realize there are people ahead of me sometimes, but that's like any other clinic. I am treated very well, and feel things are smooth ahead of me. My doctor, Dr Khalid is very good at his job, as well. I never feel anything but satisfaction, with each visit I make.

I had a medical issue pop up that I have had in the past and normally I just treat with over the counter drugs but this time it was really bad. It has been a few years since I had seen my family doctor and at some point was removed from his list of patients. So I called about 5 other clinics to see if I could make an appointment or if they would at least accept walk ins. Most of them put me on hold indefinitely and the few that came through said I would have to come in on other days for a walk in appointment. This was the only place that said I could come in and quickly see a doctor. Once I was there it only took about 20 minutes to see the doctor and get my issue looked at. Everything was great and hopefully I can get on one or their doctors patient lists!

Dr. Ravini has been my family doctor for ages, and she's always friendly and takes the time to listen to my concerns. The nurses are always great, and recently I had a visit with Dr. Yeung and an intern, and they provided exceptional medical care. Thank you for everything that you do!

Front office staff very rude as I was on the phone she had hung up on me. I had requested her take a message for me for my doctor as she told me it was a 3 week wait for a phone call appointment. I was explaining to her I needed a doctors note to claim ei benefits due to surgery and she told me they have a $30 fee and only take cash, no debit or credit in their office. I said that was very unprofessional as a medical office, as it is very odd to come across a place that will only take physical money, let alone it being a doctors office. At this point, she just hung up on me. My doctor is very good, but I will be switching clinics now due to them being so unprofessional. This is not the 1st time I have had a problem with the front office ladies.

Dr showed up to the clinic over a half hour late and walks in with Starbucks and takeout, and then just pushes your through like you don't matter and your holding his day up. Absolutely a waste of time to go here.

Capilano Medical centre has the best Pharmacist I have ever talked to, amazing lady. Dr. Ziyani is the most outstanding doctor who does the best he can with his patients and always makes you feel better than when you walked in. The receptionists do the very best to help everyone who walks in, they are sweet and professional ladies.

They are breach of privacy issues. If you call them they will disclose all your personal credentials to whomever is on the other line. They are suppose to ask and client verified from their end. They do it the other way which can result in loss of of personal info and fraud. I’m addition people in the waiting area can also hear the results of the conversation which includes name address date of birth and other personal info. I have tried complaining multiple times but they seem to not understand what they are doing wrong. I have confirmed with OICP and the ethics of conduct that they cannot verify info like that. I am about one step away from actually filing a report. I hope they listen to the clients before I file the report and try to change the way they actually are working. We need to protect our info these days more so than ever and this disregard for peoples info is illegal. The doctor is thorough and friendly. The receptionist comes off nice at first but is confrontational when you ask her how much longer and be WARNED when she says over 1 hour wait, actually means 3 hours. Max 4 patients waiting and they are all waiting for hours each. It’s no wonder they want to make healthcare a private industry in AB. At this rate people will be begging for AI to take over these reception jobs.
