Great family atmosphere and multiple areas for the kids to enjoy. Limited shade cover does mean most people congregate under the few trees on site but the water sprinkler area is a great way to beat the heat! Lots of fun for younger children. Playground: Really great jungle gym with plenty of room for all the kids to have their own area with whatever acrivity they choose. Restrooms: Public restrooms onsite, could be kept a bit cleanier but they are available. Picnic area: Many tables under the few trees that offer shade and for larger parties the pavilion is a great option.
Always love coming here. Kids enjoy running around. Restrooms are good. In summer water pad area is open. Can be crowded but always room for one more.
Wonderful place to be with nature. And it's by the river. There are 6 + pavilions . Gteat for cycling and hiking, picnics. Kids enjoyed the park so much.
Growing up in this area, I have always enjoyed going there feeling a sense of peace and tranquility. There's so much to do as well. Playing fields to fly kites play Frisbee baseball. Also, you can have a bbq as well. The location being on the Hudson makes it extra special if I ever were to get remarried I would definitely think about doing the event at Bowdoin Park my place for me and many others
Great for short or long walks. Wonderful scenery, marred only by occasional litter bringing trash bag next time. Makeshift soccer fields, playgrounds and the like.
2020 first time Cool large park. I found this park during the pandemic 2020. To make my son and nephew outside to run and have fun. Since we were new to the area, I really didn't know of nearby park until I researched. 2023 I went to this park two weeks ago for a birthday party. Then I realized there was more to the park to see then what I saw the first time going there
We were just driving small roads up the Hudson River when we spotted Bowdoin Park and drove in. It is a very well maintained and quite large park nestled up along the Hudson River. There are lots of areas for private picnics. We watched people practice archery and then spotted an eagle. If you are looking for a relaxing place to have lunch, walk a dog or a spot to have your kids run wild--this is it.
Great place to hike. Beautiful view. I took my dogs and in the winter barely anyone's there. The place is huge. Haven't been in the summer yet so idk how packed it may get. But for quiet relaxing time in the winter w my dogs its perfect
My first time here at Bowdoin Park. It was pretty empty. Small play area for children, eating area as well. You are able to BBQ enjoy the sites of watching the water flow. Even bird watching. I was able to spot eagles near by.
Love to bring the grandkids here on a beautiful day. They always see friends from school and have a good time.
