When we visited the place we were lucky to catch some live music - some sort of smooth jazz. Since the audience was well prepared to that performance with folding chairs and umbrellas, I assume that the kind of events that we witnessed are happening on a regular basis over there. It's nice to have such cultural events where you live. The longest (and highest?) walking bridge in the world adds up to the amusement as well.

Brother got married in Poughkeepsie, took some photos here.. real pretty I guess.. Not alot to do though

LOVE this spot in the Poughkeepsie Waterfront. And, I'm glad it has a closing time and that it's gated, so that people don't ruin it. Beautiful place!

Beautiful view of the waterfront. Live music every other Saturday during the summer. There are lots of other functions there like farmers markets, etc.

Luckily I went there on a late October day that was 66°. Couldn't walk on Walkway because it was late but was there in time to see a beautiful sunset. Clean park with benches. Families can go to the childrens' museum.
