I went here for my G1 Knowledge test and let me you, GO EARLY. The line ups are longs and seats are limited. The place is a hassle to get to when you're walking in the cold, but other than that the staff are very friendly. Make sure you have your ID and money ready, it will give you the best experience with the staff. And honestly as long as you're not rude to them, come when your number is called and have all your stuff, you should have a good experience. Best of luck~

The wait time is very long, which I understand. But the workers there are very rude and lazy. They should never treat people the way she especially did to me and others i believe. I understand it is a long day for workers, but i waited there for 5 hours and i didn't complain or change my attitude and plus i was there early in the morning so i don't understand why she treated people like that.  unacceptable especially working under the provincial services job. Most of the staffs are extremely rude.They will treat you like some kinda idiot. So many racial discriminating there.

I passed my G test from the first try and G2 test from the second try. I did both of them around 1pm so the lines weren't big and I had a pretty pleasant experience. Both times I passed with the same instructor. Her name is Michelle and she was really nice and very clear with what I had to do. Among other things she explicitly told me in advance to move my head to make sure she can see that I check blind spots. 
During my G test they were late on schedule by 20 minutes or so but it was understandable since it was snowing on that day. 
I haven't done driving tests anywhere else so I  have nothing to compare with but my experience with Downsview testing centre is good.

This place is like a Unicorn or Sasquatch. People claim that it's there but I've yet to find it. The place is confusing and anything here is hard to find. You are better off going a place that's clearly marked, specially if you are walking as the compound is big

I arrived there early in the morning (before 7AM). I passed the G1 written test, received my G1 drivers license and was out within an hour! The service desk was open, staff was friendly and the waiting time was less than 30 minutes. I have been there during busy hours and wait times can be pretty long. My advice is to get there early.
