I agree with a lot of what I am reading on these reviews. I have to call a minimum of 5 times (no exaggeration) before someone finally picks up the phone. When I leave a voicemail with a question, I get a voicemail back without the answer to my question. When you call to book an appointment a week or so in advance they ask you to call on the morning of. When you call on the morning of they say that the appointments are all booked up. So I went in person to see my doctor ( a little more than a month ago), and she couldn't accommodate me so I saw the walk in doctor instead who misdiagnosed me and I wasted a month by not being prescribed the right medication and not being diagnosed correctly. Despite having a family doctor here I ended up visiting another walk in clinic that was able to correctly diagnose me and prescribe the correct medication. Client care here is disappointing to say the least.

Good attentive doctors and nice offices ....which you can't get to because their medical stuff is never picking up their phones. I never seen anything like that and few times had to go to just a walk-in although I signed up for a family doctor there. I had to physically go there to get an appointment as I was tired to play phone tags . I.e. you are calling, no-one answers, you live a voicemail, they will call you back in 5 hours or day after, leave you a voicemail that they called. You are trying to call back right away they don't answer, you leave voicemail and we go again. .

Horrible place to deal with. Average waiting time for walk-in is an hour with inefficient receptionists who are always on the phone. The doctors do not even spend 1 min to diagnose you. My experience last night was just waste of time. The doctors (I had two experiences) are very unexperineced and unacknowledged. I almost got into an argument with the doctor last night because she was so snob and did not even wanted to spend a minute to check my vital and symptoms, she wanted to send me home with her diagnosis of cold. How could you look at someone and say she has a cold or flue or strepthroat without checking? I broke into tear when I left the clinic. There are many better clinics in North York like the one (afterhours) in Bayview village mall. Avoid this place, it is retarded.

My partner and I are not happy about "Discovery Family Health Clinic", Dr. Ingrid Lam and receptionist Anne. On 21st of November 2017 we visited this clinic with my partner. Receptionist Anne who was working that night, took my partner's health card, verified all the information and sent us to see the doctor without any additional questions. Only After we saw Dr. Ingrid Lam that we have been informed  to pay for the service because my partner's health card was expired. (It's the old health card without the picture on it). Anne told us that only AFTER we have seen the doctor. The receptionist had to make sure that we are eligible for free service and must inform us overvise, or provide us the price  before we seen the doctor. The ministry of health  mandate was disregarded. After our verbal complain and disagreement, Anne and another receptionist forsed us to make the payment. Both of them agreed that they had to informed us about the payment BEFORE the service and they still insisted that we pay. They just said "we are apologize " and charged us $75 anyway. This amount  is a lot for our budget, especially for the service what should have been to be free! We were both really fustrated and angry about the fact that the receptionist Anne did not advise us about the payment and still forced us to pay for her mistake. So, I would like to help another person  and prevent this kind of situation in the future. And honestly, we don't think it's fair and legal to charge patients without warning. Good luck and be careful.

horrible place to deal with. My wife and I had emergency to see a doctor, and the receptionist denied to accept our OHIP card. We were moving to BC from ON, so that we got a letter from Service Ontario that a new health card which covers Canada wide will be issued, and our OHIP coverage was still valid at that time. So we HAD TO PAY. I explained the whole thing, but the receptionist told me that it's clinic's policy so that pay or go to another clinic....seriously?? But since it was emergency, so we had to pay. The funny thing is the same OHIP card was accepted by walk-in-clinics in BC and Alberta.
