The store is alright and have all the stuff I typically want at a reasonable price. However, do not buy veg Pettis etc from this store. I repeat do not buy them. I bought pretties that had fungus in them. This happened two times in 6 months, I complained both times, but I don't think they are changing vendors so this review is a warning for folks buying veg petty, you might/will be eating fungus. Here is a picture for proof. Again, the grocery items are alright, and the staff is helpful and shop has stuff I want reasonably priced, do not buy veg petty

The worst customer service I have seen by an Indian Grocery store. The lady who does the billing is very rude and some times gives you a feeling as if she is doing some favor to us when we purchase any items from her store. This is not my 1 time experience but this has been pretty consistent.

Once I wanted to return a coffee powder immediately after purchase. The mean looking Old lady at the cashier asked me if it's too expensive for me. Very inappropriate question. These people are taking advantage of the fact that there are very few Indian groceries in oakville.

It’s my goto Indian store as it’s closer to my place where I live however their return options should get “0” rating. I had few experiences where products were past expiry and they just don’t take it back and refund so would appreciate if they come up with return and refund options after all customer pays $$ their hard earned money towards purchases.

They are fraudsters. I bought a couple of gulab jamun $8.99 per lb, two rasogollas $9.99 per lb and two milk cakes $11.99 per lb. The owner packed all of these in one box and charged me $11.99 per lb. When asked why I was charged a higher rate $ 11.99 for the whole thing instead of charging me 3 separate rates as per their respective weight and prices, they said if you buy mix sweets then they charge higher rate which does not make any sense. Why would I pay milk cake price for gulab jamun! This crucial information was not written or displayed anywhere. If I had not seen my bill and questioned them, they wouldn’t have gotten caught. I will not shop at this dishonest store from now on. I would rather go to Walmart or drive to Indian stores in Mississauga…

Probably the only subcontinent store in Oakville. They have a decent stock of items required from an indian grocery shopping perspective. They have fruits, vegetables and snacks of interest to the Indian community. From a feedback perspective, I would love to see more varieties of veggies that are commonly used in South India. I tried their vegetable samosa and puff. Both were large in size. Samosas were decent. Puff could have been better. I wish they served warm samosas and puffs so that one need not have to go home to snack it.

Great family owned business. East Indian food, spices, and much more. Very good. Reasonable prices. Lots of Organic indian spices which is great. Little crowded to walk through. Will be back.

Good store for Indian grocery around this area. Always stocked up and most of the stuff is available.

The international section at most grocery stores in the area isn't great but The East Indian Supermarket has a great selection of spices, sauces, breads, legumes, fresh produce and so much more. Making a new dish? Come here first.
