Our landlords recently sold our property and are going with a different management company. However, I can say that for the last 6 years we have had no issues at all with DCCi. Whenever there was an issue with our rental unit, or something needed repairs, they were always quick and responsive, as well as unfailingly professional.

Too similar to 90% of property management companies. My expectations were never met, and I never felt they were aware of that nor try and understand what they were. When I've had to deal with their personnel they've all been relatively younger leading me to believe their quality of service could change. Would recommend their organization read at least one book a year on situational leadership and become leaders in that way.

I lived in a property managed by DCCI for 3 years. Upon move in the property was not cleaned. There was food in the cupboards, pans in the oven, food in burners of the stove.
The day we moved in we had to clean our entire home before we could unpack.
After this issue repairs were handled in a timely manner upon request. When work was being done on the building we were not given notice. The repairs were sloppy and often not cleaned up. Rust nails were left in the yard and on our patio.
Our bathroom floors had to be replaced. A contractor was not booked to replace the toilet after the job was done so we had to hire a plumber to replace the toilet so we had a working bathroom. The cost was not reimbursed.
Upon move out we had spent a week cleaning the apartment and as well had put much of our own money into the maintenance of the apartment due to how poorly it was maintained.
I had to hunt my damage deposit down to be returned to me. I tried to go to the office to pick it up several times only to be informed that the property manager Peter had it with him and would not be in the office. During the process of contacting Peter I was swore at and hung up on. He would not make anything easy and for absolutely no reason.
In order to get my damage deposit back finally I had to have a coworker fake a relationship to me that was threatening to Peter. Instead of being able to pick up my damage deposit at the office Peter made me drive out of my way to a home he was showing to a tenant. He was 30 minutes late to arrive.
Peter deducted money off my deposit with no explanation or written documentation.
Through this entire process I had contacted the owner of the company to question these processes and explain how unethical Peter's actions were. The owner replied to one email saying he would fix the situation after that email he was no longer in contact and my frustrations with his staff continued.
Needless to say this is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. I was a good tenant, clean, quiet and never once missed a rent payment.

Alex McAmmond was managing the unit below mine in a condo building and her unit had a report of bed bugs. Alex was pro-active in coordinating an exterminator to deal not only with the unit she managed but also the adjacent units (including mine), in order to prevent any spreading in the building. This type of attitude is all too rare but should be a requirement for any property manager in a multi-unit dwelling. Very impressed.
