The building is old, has many flaws. Half of the walls and towel holders are broken. Before moving they said everything will be cleaned but windows are filled with dirt, I can still smell the smoke. And not sure even painting was done, cos i was cleaning walls and I see difference of all the smoke stuck.The only perk is its in downtown, otherwise at the $1595 price you can get better in downtown for 1bedroom. Management people are good, but space is very small for 1bedroom specially bathroom is very compact.
Me and my family are new immigrant in Canada. We are grateful to Yusuf for being responsive from our concerns and queries right from the very beginning. He is so attentive and efficient. Compare to all the apartments that I spoke with, he is the only one who shows RESPECT to a customer. Easy to communicate with a respectful and friendliness manner. We received our unit clean, and minor issues has been resolved promptly. Management team has been great and we loving our new home.
Communication with the office staff is atrocious. Every time I have gone with a question when they are supposed to be open there is nobody there, they seem to run on their own schedules. They also do not answer the phone, I tried 6 times the other day at different points and no-one answered. I even tried the emergency number and it hangs up - so if someone was on fire I guess you would just let them burn lol. This is the basis of running an office , how hard is it to pick up the phone. They also do not reply to emails and don't even bother with Cap-cares they will pretend they are taking your questions but will not ever actually help. Lets not forget how they SUPER GLUED my windows last year - its winter again - its freezing cold and they wont replace my windows because they are too cheap. I would like to add to this that there are consistently homeless people in the foyers/ lobby. I called the police the other day because a homeless man set up camp in the lobby and then I saw him again the next day charging his phone! This building needs security all day like most buildings have. Why should we pay to live that is accessible for anyone to just come in and start smoking crack in the lobby?
Very bad customer service at this apartment. I used to live here before I moved to Ontario. 2 years later we called to inquire about any availability for 1 bedroom apartments starting from May, 2023…the lady was so rude that without even letting me finish she said we don’t have anything available currently and hung up on me. If this is how you find residents, I better inform 2 more of my friends who are already living in this building to leave. We were the one who bought recommendations for renting a few more units in the same building and this is how they treat us!!
The building has its pros and cons, for sure, it’s not brand new and the laundry is in the basement and it’s pricey, and they recently increased the fees However, it’s really warm even during the -30 outside! I was so surprised that I never had to turn on the heater!!! The best thing about this building is it’s management: resolving all issues which are not many very fast and effectively! Kate is so great and really willing to help, she really personally cares about you and your well-being in this building! I’m staying for the second year just because of Kate although I had been thinking of moving somewhere else at first
Suite is spacious but it doesn’t has any natural light as well as there is no in-built lights in living room! Apart from that rent is affordable but our suite has some issue with electricity that our electricity bill is way beyond average though our electricity consumption is normal as other tenants in Vista tower. In all this situation the building manager “YUSUF” is so cooperative and sympathetic and helping in resolving our issues!
They're just as useless as any other property management company out there. It's pathetic when literally your only job is to answer calls and emails and you can't even do that. They also double charge sometimes so be careful for that.
The structure is old, but it has been well preserved. Nothing is brand new or flashy, and it can seem a little dull at times, but it's livable and spacious. Management is good ,especially Yusuf answers to all the queries and resolves them effectively.In the winter, the heater is turned off a little sooner than I'd like, but that's fine. In the basement, there is only one washing room and no other amenities such as a fun room or a gym.
I am pleased to inform you that ,I been living in Vista tower 912 6 Ave Calgary for a while. After Nyima and Yusuf came to office this office and building appliances changed significantly. Previously, I almost moved out due to customer services given by office staff. However, Yusuf and Nyima changed that . I know all the tenants in my floor are very proud of them. Most importantly, flexibility and empathy. They should be salary increases for them as soon as possible.
I’ve been living here for 6 months and I’m quite satisfied with my stay here till date. Although, there are no amenities in the building such as gym or recreational zone, but the rooms are quite spacious. There is this guy, yusuf, at the rental office who helped us a lot right from leasing the apartment till date. He is very kind and has a positive attitude. The apartment’s rent is quite affordable here as compared to other downtown buildings. They also have refer a friend policy, where you get 500$ for referring a friend. If you are a student, I’d definitely suggest you to check this out and don’t forget to set an appointment with yusuf.
