Great night out with friends. Service was fantastic and food was amazing we had the lamb, haddock and veal. We will definitely be returning here. Special thanks to our waiter Sean who was very entertaining and made the evening that much more enjoyable.
Food was delicious, staff were amazing besides a few mishaps, it happens. All of the wine glasses had water marks and one had a lipstick stain, so I do suggest for a fine dining restaurant that they polish their wine glasses. Overall pretty good
We wanted a special restaurant as it was our last weekend away for our second baby arrives. DaMaurizio did not disappoint! From the minute we walked in we felt like special guests. The hostess was so friendly and kind. Our server was funny, knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We started with bread then the spiced olives & bruschetta - all of which were delicious! I had the pappardelle and my husband had the bolognese and they were both 10/10. We finished the meal with espresso, biscotti and tiramisu. As we left the hostess came over to thank us and asked how everything was. We will definitely return!

The BEST food I had after going back home to Halifax! It was far better than any of the food I tried on a nameless top tier golf resort where the food cost twice as much. My scallops and risotto were cooked to perfection and from what I was told, the whole table was wholly impressed at the quality of the dishes they had chosen. The service is great as well, friendly, engaging, dynamic and not overly present to the point you feel anyone is watching you over your shoulder I'm sure many have been in that situation before. Please take my advice come and try the food here, it will not disappoint!!!
I would give this place more stars if I could. The food was absolutely amazing from appetizers to desserts nothing disappointed. The service was excellent including the hostess, very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. We will definitely be back.
I don’t write many reviews, but when a place makes an impact on me I like to share my thoughts. My wife and I enjoyed our 12 year anniversary at Da Maurizio and we wouldn’t change a thing. The atmosphere was nice, the waiter was accommodating and the food was spectacular! The fresh calamari was soft and delicious. The main courses were to die for. I can go to heaven happy now after having that meal. The desserts were also amazing. I had pistachio and chocolate gelato and my wife had the dark chocolate mousse. You HAVE to try both. Best fine dining experience we have had in a long time.
Wonderful food and the service was great! The portion sizes were enough for you to leave full and were full of flavor. I had the duck with fresh orange and cranberry sauce, potatos and a couple of pieces of vegetable. I would go again if given the choice for a special dinner out. Definitely out of my price range to go regularly.
A truly five star dining experience. This past Saturday evening our dinner enjoyed at Da Maurizio was nothing short of spectacular. Our server was extremely friendly, perfect table placement for a quiet evening, and absolutely phenomenal food. Compared to other restaurants in Atlantic Canada, da maurizio simply beats them in ever aspect. A real experience of dinning.
Had a fantastic dinner. The only downside was having to choose what delicious dish to eat! We had the veal scallopini and the lamb chops, followed by tiramisu and the gelato/brownie. Everything was absolutely delicious and we walked away full for reference, the desserts are more than enough to share!. Our server, Sean, was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. He helped us refine our choices and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back.
