Some of the best Indian food we've had. Each curry the group got was delicious, from the chicken to lamb to chickpea dishes. Mango Lassi was fantastic with a rich creamy fruit flavor.
In all honesty this is not where you get quality or quantity. The biryani is not ‘Dum Biryani’. I would recommend just learn a bit about biryani before you order. I paid $ 4.75 for 4 oz of ‘Raita’ Dannon yoghurt 16 OZ TUB costs 2.39. Who pays 4.75 for alhalf a cup of yogurt with half a leave of mint and one sliced cucumber? This place is about fooling Americans who have little to no knowledge of ethnic foods. The dinner pictures are real. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.
Surprisingly quiet for a Michelin Bib Gourmand, but well worthy of their recognition. The vegetable samosa was fine, but the butter chicken and lamb biryani were flavorful and delicious. Service was very kind and fun!
Delicious Nepalese and Indian cuisine that’s well deserving of its Michelin rating. Our favorite was the creamy coconut chicken madras and the spicy tomato-based pokhareli kukhura.
The spice mixes are pretty good but they're taking some shortcuts on food prep so things don't taste fresh. For example the samosas are being kept in a steamer or are being microwaved before serving because they have a slight soft/chewy outer texture vs the bright and crispy crunchy texture that normally happens when you've just fried something. The chicken makhani had a similar issue and had slightly mushy texture which happens when the chicken is sitting in a slow cooker or steam pan for a long time. My guess is that they're cooking up batches of pre-cooked shredded chicken as a base and then cooking it again into whatever sauce that someone orders. Normally when you cook it to-order the texture is more firm, snappy and juicy. Rice costs extra, portions were okay. Priced a little high for what you get especially since things are re-heated.
Ordered butter chicken and it tasted unexpected, we realized too late that we received Tikka Masala instead. It was a much thicker sauce and obviously white meat instead of dark meat. Spent about $80 on the whole meal, so it was a little disappointing to not get what we ordered. Besides that it was okay, the goat biryani wasn't very flavorful. The naan was very good, but not enough to order here over somewhere else. Definitely not my first choice. Ordered as delivery
Food options were outstanding and delicious. We had a hard time deciding what to order so we just shared several orders. It's a great way to sample more delicious options.Food: 5/5
Everything was a la carte, including ordering rice separately to go with the entree. The 2 different breads ordered seemed to be made with whole wheat. Not bad, just different.Food: 4/5
Service was excellent. Food was on point and location wasn’t busy whatsoever. Ambiance was relaxing and quiet, good setting to have a date and conversation. Drinks - Pinot Grigio $9, Stella Artois $7
Delicious and fresh. Flavors burst in your mouth. Balanced and beautifully spiced. Can’t wait to try more dishes. We tried somosas, chicken momo, veggie byriani, chicken tikka masala, Chana masala, peas pulao. Outstanding.
