I'm so glad I visited Bhoomi! Having seen the raving reviews I was really excited to try it especially after having read about the owners relationship to the 'Czar of Indian Food'. Bhoomi exceeded my expectations! I loved the attention to detail and that it was supervised by the owners themselves. I started with the lamb burger which was cooked perfectly and topped with a unique combination of sauteed onions with avocados, and nigella seeds on a brioche bun. It was an amazing burger and now I'm craving another one while describing it here! After the burger, I was tempted to try a traditional Indian dish. I ordered the Phulka Roti, one with chicken and the other with paneer. The marinade was delicious! I can't handle very spicy food but this had the perfect amount of spice, very flavorful and not spicy hot. They do have a spicy sauce if you're looking for a bit more heat This is my go-to Indian restaurant in Chicago!
Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while. The lamb burger is to die for and the phulka rotis were the best we ever had! Do yourself a favour and eat here. You won’t be disappointed. We would like to come back here again and again! Highly recommend.
Cool concept. Great choices and flavors are maintained. Loved the mint chutney and the spicy tomato chutney was kinda like butter chicken base. The chicken was well marinated and flavored and arranged with fresh veggies in a parata. Fried cauliflower was a better choice than French fries.
I barely go to eat Indian food outside as most restaurants are mediocre at best. Bhoomi combines accessibility to Indian food to unfamiliar palates and very generously and perfectly spiced food. With such reasonable pricing and such great quality ingredients I'll surely be visiting again soon. Make sure to checkout the vegan kebabs or the grilled chicken bowls!
I have eaten here MULTIPLE and times and all I can say the food is delicious. All the ingredients used are FRESH and ORGANIC! I have tried the pasties, the salmon quinoa bowl, the Bhoomi burger, the grilled cauliflower, the chicken bowl, the paneer bowl - and each dish never fails to impress! The quinoa is so so soft I still wonder how the chefs manage to get it so perfectly textured! The flavors are burst of happiness in my mouth. The chutneys are fresh and compliment their dishes perfectly. Many times I order extra chutney as well to use at home for myself. This place checks all my boxes and every time I come into the city to work I always order from here! I have pretty much eaten from here for 3 days in a row when I am in the city! This is going to be a Chicago jewel soon. Please take the time to go here to eat or order in whenever in the city! Eating here = eating the rainbow!!
Bhoomi does flavor like no other restaurant. I keep coming back for the most delicious phulkas and the best lamb burger in the city. The cauliflower and pasties cannot be missed either. Top it off with the sweet and savory lemonade and you have the best meal.
Highly recommended!!! Bhoomi has become a must-visit eatery for us when we are in the city. The options are plentiful, the flavors are delicious, and the ingredients are ethically sourced and always fresh. Must try ANYTHING paneer, and my favorite - the quinoa bowl with salmon. So happy to have a wonderful place in the loop with fresh options in the Indian flavor profile.
The Bhoomi team has hit it out of the Park. My favorite Indian place when in Chicago. I tried the Chicken Quinoa Bowl and still reminiscing the flavors. so fresh and flavorful. the team really cares about the quality of their ingredients, pretty certain they have a organic veggie farm or handpick the veggies from an organic farm every morning. The Chicken was so delicious marinated and cooked to perfection . Quinoa was cooked well and went along with the meat and veggies so well. Last but in no way the least the Bhoomi Sauce complimented the dish so well.Just amazing . Keep up the good work . Will visit again when in Chicago. Could you guys please open open an outlet in San Francisco so I can eat there everyday :
Ordering online and pick up without talking to anyone is quick and easy. Food is great; flavors are impactful. $15 for a chicken salad seems steep but they say they source from small family farms, and make everything they can from scratch. Will return.
Sampled nearly all dishes and your can't go wrong. Best food in UrbanSpace foodhall. Beautiful mint dressing on the phulka roti best get two, won't regret. If into lamb, run don't walk to the Bhoomi burger!
