Loved this hotel. The staff here are great. The rooms are gorgeous. My husband and I stayed with our toddler last year for a quick 4 day trip. We stayed in the suites with the kitchen, balcony, and luxury bath. It was a wonderful experience. We stayed during the Christmas season and were able to take our daughter to their Santa event that they hosted which included a horse drawn carriage ride. We really enjoyed ourselves! So much so that I just booked another stay for this upcoming Christmas season. The spa was exceptional. I had to do a separate review for that as well since I enjoyed it so much. We have definitely decided to become regulars here at this wonderful resort.
I'll keep each part brief. The resort is nice and clean overall. The golf courses are fairly well kept, but definitely need some upgrades better golf carts, cutting the grass a little, mainly the rough part. Its near impossible to hit out of some spots. The restaurant looks good, decent ambiance, decent food. Sadly, not too many options, and the servers took forever for drinks and food alike. In their defense, a wedding was going on so the space was a bit crowded. The highlight of the entire weekend was in fact the pool set up. Even that can be a little better, but it was convenient and accommodating for our group. My one piece of advice, do not eat at the restaurants here when you can drive 5 min for better food, service, and experience.
Absolutely beautiful place. My sisters and I were there for a sister’s weekend to celebrate my younger sisters 50th birthday. We stayed in the Grand Cascades Lodge in a 2 BR suite with outdoor deck and fireplace. We were in a corner unit and the deck was huge. The suite was clean and pretty. Majority of the staff were friendly and eager to please. There were a few uppity staff members that should really consider jobs outside of the customer service arena. We did not let it ruin our stay. The food was decent for the most part but outrageously priced. I don’t mind paying a lot when the food is really good, but with the exception of crystal tavern for dinner, nothing notable. The Vista 180 pool was gorgeous, albeit the lounge chair situation a little frustrating. Get there early!!! The reflections spa was amazing, be sure to treat yourself!! Check your bill thoroughly before you go for “this fee” and “that fee”.
Stay so far has been great. Clean and beautiful room. Service has been perfect. My only concern has been the pool. The life guards on site chat all near each other, play around, are on their phones constantly, and rarely watch the pool. This is extremely concerning considering there is a slide where a guard sits and is on the phone, talking to other life guards, and does not life head up to see the pool or swimmer coming down.
We googled this places and the pictures just wowed us! When we arrived it certainly didn't disappoint!! Very clean, all staff was very friendly and happy, room was spectacular! Very clean, we stayed in Room 264, cascade lodge. Had a big outside balcony with fireplace, view of golf course and biosphere. Live music at night on weekends, so many activities for adults and kids. Beautiful elegant banquet rooms for parties and especially weddings. Enjoyed walks in the evening, love all the gardens and fresh food! Biosphere was our favorite especially for our kids! We will be going back again this year and every year!
Place is nice but extremely overpriced! We stayed at Minerals hotel, the pool is ok , we liked the heated outdoor pool. Food was not great at Minerals hotel but much better at the grand cascades. We had a really nice dinner at the crystal tavern. We saw the cabaret show there which was really nice. Must book in advance. A lot of the activities fill up quickly so look online and book in advance if interested in any. The $40 breakfast credit for breakfast buffet came in handy. Millie from the cleaning staff is so great! Cleaned our room so nicely and was so friendly. Service is great here. Would want to come back but not for the price.
I’ve been here three times already! The spa is amazing! I took my husband for his birthday and I went for my birthday as well then I had meet some friends up there as well to hang by the pool! It’s a beautiful place far away from all the commotion that’s going in the world! It truly makes you feel like you are on a getaway.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed at Minerals this past July 2022. The resort advertises as a spa resort, yet I believe they should change it to kid's resort. Not much for adults outside of the spa. Huge lack of evening entertainment Sorry, Mike, let me be clear, there was entertainment at the Moonshine Bar, but it ended at 8:40 pm so that the kid's movie about dinosaurs could begin. All of the other activities were during the day. Resort was also extremely dated and dirty. Our sheets were stained, closet doors were off the track, and not of use. "Large" patio on our end unit was nothing more than the size of a sidewalk slab. They are also not very attentive to their guests. We ate at Kites restaurant one evening. When asked if we could sit outside, the help and management seemed a little annoyed. They said that rain was expected at 10 p.m. It was only 7 p.m. Allowed us to sit outside, but did not put the cushions on the chairs that were there at breakfast which was also less than desirable. I am noticing many reviews of the same nature. We should have heeded these warnings a little more seriously. Crystal Springs management needs to stop apologizing for their guest's disappointments, and fix the problems. NOT worth the money!!
Have stayed twice at the grand cascades lodge and have never been disappointed. There is nothing quite like it. I really cannot say enough great things. The resort is clean and it’s appearance is like no other. They have a coffee shop near the lobby. The iced coffee is great. Entertainment on the weekends. I have not gone to the spa, but it looks nice in passing. I love swimming and the pools are like no other. One overlooking the mountains and another which is part indoor/outdoor. The indoor portion has a water slide, a hot tub, sauna area, tropical fish tank and real tropical plants on the premises which are labeled so you can learn about them. There was also a cute baby pineapple growing when we were there. I do not have children and I do not golf so those amenities they offer I don’t pay much attention too. Every time I’ve been there, they’ve had pony rides for small children in the morning/afternoon though. Overall, I find it to be a relaxing getaway. Great for couples and families. There’s also cute shops you can find nearby in surrounding areas like Sparta and Warwick. Highly recommend.
Only stayed one night. The grounds were beautiful and I plan to take my kids next year for all the Christmas activities. However, I hope to find a cleaner room next time. Long black hairs on the shower walls and we’re blonde. I had to clean the shower before I used it.Rooms: 4/5
