Critter Jungle Carling

I havent gone I the store YET but I recently got a juvenile leopard gecko and I am new to it! As the time as gone by, I have a lot of questions and curiosity about stuff. The store i got my little baby from doesnt help much so I started calling Critters Jungle and I tell EVERYONE, I absolutely LOVE this store. They have helped me soo much to make sure my little guy is thriving. They answer all my questions, give me tips, take their time out of their day to help me with anything. They even ask me question about things I didnt even think of!!! Next time I go to Ottawa, im going in-store to thank them. They are absolutely amazing.nForrest Gimp and I thank you all

I have been shopping at this particular location for a while now, i’m not always able to come in so frequently, however i always enjoy to make a trip out there to see what’s new. I have always experienced wonderful customer service here but this day in particular was deeply appreciated. I went in searching for a suitable clay like substrate for my terrarium build. I wish i could’ve gotten his name, or perhaps i forgot, however the gentleman with the lightish hair, glasses and baseball cap was so kind and helpful with me, helping me narrow down the options, listing pros and cons for each one and ways to solve the cons. This customer service was incredible and i truly appreciated his help and knowledge throughout the whole interaction. As seen below, i have not fully completed the build, but very close too it. Once it is complete, i hope i see him again during my next visit : Thank you Critter jungle!

I absolutely love this store. Stopping to look at the fish is always a highlight of my day when I am getting cat food. Also they have a great selection of great quality catnip toys.

I’ve been going to this aquarium store fairly often and have never had a bad experience before, which is why this interaction was especially disappointing.nnI went in to purchase some shrimp, and the young employee with glasses and very curly hair started asking me a LOT of questions about my aquarium. At first, I understood that they were probably trying to make sure the fish were being kept properly, but it quickly felt more like a police interrogation than helpful advice.nnI was repeatedly asked where I bought my aquarium, who recommended it to me, why I chose that size, and to describe the entire setup. The employee also repeatedly made me feel judged and shamed for having my fish in a 5-gallon aquarium, despite the fact that my fish is active, appears healthy, and is doing well in its current environment.nnAfter hearing my description of the aquarium, the employee then tried to convince me to purchase additional items for the setup. When I politely said that I thought my aquarium was already well decorated because I have plenty of live plants, rocks, and driftwood, their attitude became noticeably rude. There was no “have a good day” or any kind of friendly interaction afterward.nnI want to emphasize that I normally really like this store. The staff are usually knowledgeable and are there to educate customers and make recommendations, which I appreciate. However, I don’t think it is appropriate for an employee to treat a customer this way, there is a big difference between educating someone and making them feel judged or criticized.nnI left feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. I hope management takes this kind of interaction seriously, because customers should be able to ask questions and shop for their aquarium without feeling interrogated or shamed.

It’s an absolute shame how the rodents are kept… Not acceptable. They smell super strong and will probably get lung infections so much quicker if you shop rather than adopt from someone.nThey have not a SINGLE thing to climb on, and hardly anywhere to hide. It’s honestly disgusting and terribly disheartening. The bird cages almost look more acceptable for a rat than the rat cages are.nThe store and employees all seem attentive and wonderful otherwise, it’s just this that really upsets me.
