Conlin's Furniture

Just bought some furniture at Conlins. It was on sale and they carry our favorite brand...Lazy Boy...also the only ones with 5 yr protection plan on fabric besides the lifetime guarantee from Lazy Boy....can't go wrong. We have made purchases from this store before and never had a problem because they sell a quality product. First place we go when we need furniture. They are always courteous!

Very poor customer service. Was told a delivery date several times but furniture was not delivered in a timely manner. Wrong parts came to our house so we were told the correct pieces would be delivered in an additional 6+ weeks. A staff member lied to my husband in an attempt to throw the staff member who sold us the furniture (who no longer works there - surprised?) under the bus for the miscommunication. Sorry Conlins, but I have no good words for your business after our one and only purchasing experience with you.

We purchased a dual-reclining couch from Conlin's on Mother's day 2012. Within 3 months, one of the recliner mechanisms broke, and wouldn't keep the recliner closed all the time. The cushions also seemed to be flattening out already. They charged us $65 to come get the couch so they could fix it, then return it. They got it done quickly, and things seemed to be fine. Within a couple of months, the same recliner mechanism broke again. I called and spoke with the manager that I purchased the couch from. He said he would call me back within 1 day and have them fix it for us again. After not hearing anything from them for a couple days, I called back, only to find out that he had been fired, and had never passed on my issue. So, I had to start over again. The service guy called about a week later, and said he could just bring out some new springs to add to the recliners that should fix the problem. When he did, I again complained about the cushions flattening out again. He said that it was a fabric problem, and to call the fabric warranty company. After a couple weeks of messages back and forth, the fabric warranty company stated that it wasn't something they covered, that Conlin's was responsible for fixing it. I walked into the store and asked to speak with a manager; I was spoken to again by the same service guy, who apologized and said he didn't know why he would have told me that. He agreed to fix the cushions. After a few miscommunications on scheduling the pick-up, they finally took our couch. It has now been a week and a half, and we haven't heard anything back. When I call, I always get their "we're busy right now, call us back later" message. I would highly recommend not buying any furniture at Conlin's. Edit: They ended up replacing the couch after 3 more repairs, followed by a BBB complaint. The same issues continued, but Conlin's refused to do any more repairs. 4 years later, we've had to replace a $1200 couch. Never would I EVER set foot back in that store.

About 3 weeks ago I went into Conlin's Furniture on whim, actually I was trying to go to the store right next to it but turned in the wrong driveway. I was immediately greeted by an entire showroom of gorgeous and well priced furniture. I found a set I loved, and it was on sale so I was sold. Done deal end of story, went home and measured my bedroom, to my dismay the dresser wouldn't fit so I called and asked if we could 8 the dresser but keep the rest. The salesman said no, that it was already run through financing, I said this is unacceptable. About 3 phone conversations later, he said he couldn't take off the price but could upgrade the mattress to meet the price of the dresser I was losing, I said absolutely not. It was then and only then, I realized his end game, he didn't want to lose his commission on the full 2,000. Eventually he agreed to take off the dresser after he had been caught in his dishonesty. Now it's been 3 weeks after all this shenanigans, and 3 different delivery dates come and gone, I finally had to cancel the whole thing. Never shop at this place, incompetent is the most positive word I can think of to say about the management and sales people here.
