My husband and I stayed there from May 18-21, 2024 to visit family. The room was clean, and quiet at night, even with hotel full with tournament kids. It was disappointing that our room was not restocked with clean cups and glasses and large bath towels daily. At a higher priced, 4 or 5 star hotel, this should just be a given.
The hotel is a great central location to base out of while doing business in Kamloops and the surrounding area.nnI was traveling for work and brought my 5 lb Chihuahua with me. The pet friendly room was appreciated the $30 per night fee is a bit on the high side - most others charge $25
Bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet and staff were pleasant how ever the room wasn’t very clean. Had to wash tub before I used it, base of toilet had urine stains, pillow case had what looked like old blood stains on it, mirror in the room was dirty. One annoying thing is the bathroom tap is situated to far back from sink makes it hard to wash hands and you get water every where ended up using tub to wash my hands it was easier. I would expect the room to be cleaner especially when we were paying over $200 per night.
After a long drive from Jasper, we checked in and were offered a choice of rooms – a rear facing room overlooking the town and the main highway or another on the ground floor overlooking the car park. After reading previous reports about road noise, we took the ground floor option.nnThe room was a standard room number 121 with 2 king beds. It was clean and spacious, the a/c worked really well as it was very hot when we arrived and the room was a suitable option for an overnight stay.nnLocation wise, this hotel is on the outskirts of Kamloops and is in an area with lots of other hotels. It is easy to get to from the highway. There are also plenty of restaurants, most of which are attached to the hotels but take non-residents.
Love the Prestige staff! Prestige hotels are my favourite because the staff are incredibly friendly and always go above and beyond. They hire staff that are down to earth and so kind. The rooms are very nice, clean and the heated pool is wonderful! The jets in the hot tub are powerful to give a massage as well.nnThe only downside to the rooms would be the noise level. It was a bit noisy, there's quite a gap underneath the door to the hallway and the adjoining rooms. We were on ground floor, I would imagine the upper floors are likely a bit more quiet since they're further away from the street.nnNot great service in the restaurant. The server in the restaurant was quite rude and seemed as though she didn't want to serve anyone. Two window seats were taken up by staffs belongings in the restaurant so we couldn't sit with a view. The only window seat available was by the door which the server had wide open to the patio 10c outside so we chose to sit by the entrance but it was still quite cold in there. Other guests coming in to eat were asking us questions since the server was not acknowledging anyone as they were coming in. The food was great which is the only reason we tipped. I understand the restaurant is not owned by Prestige but by another party.
