CIBC Branch & ATM

CIBC is great bank and have very rich history in banking. I am pretty fine with banking service from CIBC but that's not case with this branch. something seems wrong with staff members at this branch. in simple words, they are rude and don't care about customers. moreover, try calling this branch, i am sure , no one will pickup phone or even you leave a voice mail don't expect call you back , in nutshell, stay away from this branch, specifically from tellers.

My parents just came to visit me in Canada as they did before in other times. My father decided to go to this location to change his american currency to Canadian, he has done that before in other banks (TD and Scotiabank) and they only asked him for passport. Today they went to this CIBC branch which is close to my residence, and the lady that he spoke with ( her name is Celia) was asking him Canadian address and citizenship, without it she couldn't do the currency change .Is this legal ? so if you are a tourist and you want to change currency you can't? He felt really humiliated . Anyone that comes to visit Canada legally to enjoy the country and family and spend some money also deserves to be treated respectfully as Canada is known for worldwide.

so surprised to see negative comments about this location the people there are so friendly!! It's the ignorant people (that complain a lot) like Gracielia Pereda who feel as if they are being victimized by asking to provide ID which is "legal" and required basically everywhere you go!!! haha
