Neighbourhood casual dining chain for inexpensive drinks and bar food. Service is excellent and they have daily specials offering great value, but execution is lacking heavily. We went on Wednesday when they have a wing and rib special for $15 and while I wasn't expecting much at that price point, the food was terribly overcooked/stale. Bone in beef jerky is the only way I can describe the ribs and somehow the wings while seasoned nicely were even more tough and dry. Fries were cold and old but overall the portion was reasonable. Nachos were adequate and the only positive food experience we had here. I definitely wouldn't come back for the food but cheap drinks and the service make this Chucks location a safe bet to drop in for a drink!
Had such a nice experience with Stephanie. She was working the bar on the evening of Jan 31st and when I sat down she promptly introduced herself and took care of my order. She was so friendly and attentive which really stands out. She refilled my drink without even asking which was a very nice surprise and gesture. It’s these types of experiences that has really made me enjoy going to Chuck’s and I always drag my friend and family there for the game or just to hang out. It seems she genuinely enjoys what she does and it’s great to have that reflect in her customer service. I will be contacting the restaurant management team to share the positive experience because she deserves to know she is appreciated. Thank you for making my night Stephanie!
Great food. Loved my burger. I’d give it a five if the place wasn’t so loud. The manager checked on our table - I asked for ketchup twice and she smiled and said thank you. She had no idea what I said it was that loud.
Out of the other Chuck's restaurants this one is particularly slower on getting dishes out of the Kitchen. I've been to the Heartland Location, and Ajax location and everything is usually quick. Expect to be waiting a while for your orders. Why the 2/5 stars is because my friend and I had ordered exactly the same cut of steak ribeye one medium rare and the other rare. His steak was definitely not a ribeye, and was overcooked. My steak was perfect. Consistency is very important.
One of the best places for quality steak at reasonable price. We had the porterhouse and New York strip and both were made exactly to our preference. The meat was nicely charred and absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. And unlike other places they don’t charge you an arm and a leg for a steak! Highly recommended to satisfy your steak craving.
It's a Friendly atmosphere, lighting is good and very clean. Service was awful. Waited 10 minutes for our drinks and had to ask numerous times for cuttlery/ketchup for someone to actually get it to our table. Burger was astounding, got "The big Chuck" would return to eat that again but takeout next time.
went here for dinner a while ago with friends. the food was pretty good. service was OK at best, there wasn't much staff but this was in the middle of the pandemic. the burger i got tested great.
This was one of the roughest meals I’ve had in a long while. The wait staff never came to our table unless we flagged them down or physically got up and went to get them. The fries were mooshy, bbq chicken burger was flavourless aside from the overwhelmingly sweet bbq sauce and the onion rings were so oily they were inedible. I was prepared for pub food, but this was disastrous.
Good food as always and appropriate portions.. the problem was the service, it took a good 25 mins for a server to take our order after being seated.. their manager very disorganized checked on us if we've been help 10 mins after we got seated and another 15 mins till our server arrived.. they need more servers.. and a server who was taking a break was smoking pot infornt of the entrance, they had a patio table there.. perfect for smoking.. but not a good smell to walk in on...
The food was good. That’s where positive end. It was a 2 hour lunch from arriving to bill. Service was extremely slow. We long finished drinks before the first food arrived. Time between plates was long enough for half of us to finish before more came. Never saw the server. Then after all that, they charge an “Honest to goodness fee” of 3%. As what the hell is that? If it cost 3% more then charge 3% more, don’t stuff a random fee to me bill. Edit: also forgot to mention that the coke tasted watered down.
