I'm giving it a three-star rating because I've had far better chicken restaurants, the soy garlic doesn't taste like soy garlic at all, I think it needs more sauce, and the chickens aren't crispy at all, perhaps because we ordered takeout but our house is only a 10-15 minute ride away, and the one we ordered from the other restaurant I mentioned took us almost 30 minutes and it was still crispy. And we were supposed to get the snow cheese, but it was unavailable at the time, so we settled for the creamy onion, which was okay. There is a complimentary radish and cola, but I believe the the soda should be two since we ordered two item.
I was skeptical at first, thinking it might be another fake Korean fast food owned by Chinese. But thank god it's not. I have tight connection with Korea and Korean culture for almost 20 years. I'm glad to confirm the food is authentic. I ordered takeout today at the store - original crispy chicken, Yang Nyeom sauced chicken and cream cheese fries. The male cashier owner? was very friendly and polite. My order was ready in 15 mins. I wouldn't say the portion is big, but moderate, reasonable. They also gifted me a free coke. Thanks. I especially enjoy the cream cheese fries. The amount of cheese sauce is crazy. It's one thing I love about authentic Korean restaurants - They never go cheap on ingredients.
The rose tteokbokki is a creamy and spicy sauce and the combination is DA BOMB! This dish comes with bacon and sausages and the rice cakes are longer than your usual rice cakes. Their chicken is also super crispy! We got the snowing cheese chicken but will definitely try another flavour next time!
Finally tried this place and was not disappointed. Got the Yang-Nyuem Chicken and snowing cheese fries it was Delicious. The fries are my favourite thing. Ate them before pictures were taken. Chicken is fried perfectly. The sauce isn't hot, so for people who can't handle heat it's perfect for you. But 9/10 you have earned a return customer in the future.
A small family-owned Korean spot. Try everything on the menu, you won't be disappointed, everything is really good. I wish there was more seating space but the customer service is awesome. They are very attentive and knowledgeable about serving.Food: 5/5
My friend and I got to the store around 9pm, ordered soy garlic boneless chicken and yang-nyeom chicken bone in. Both were amazing. The soy garlic boneless chicken is so juicy yet crispy. Definitely recommend this place!
Really fresh and tasty kfc, despite it being take out. Garlic onion flavour was a crowd-favorite. Portions were a little small for the price paid but it did taste pretty amazing.Recommended dishesFried, Sauce, Garlic
Missed their soft opening last weekend but came for their first day today. Staff was polite and patient while explaining details of their menu to us. Portion sizes were reasonable and prices are comparable to other Korean fried chicken places. Looking forward to trying their other flavours too! Edit: tried their regular fried chicken. Crisp and light. Meat very juicy and tender inside. Did not feel greasy. I really feel this place is underrated.
Reasonably priced with lots of options and side dishes. I liked their cheese chicken a lot more than I expected as I've had it at other places but it was way too sweet and powdery. They do it right at Chicken plus, and gives you some fries along with it too. The spicy one also came with some rice cake which was surprising. The two half orders also came with two small servings of radish and a coke on the house.
Dined in for two on a weekend, we came here early around 4ish pm. Ordered a large bone in Yang nyeum chicken and some snowing cheese fries. The chicken was crispy even with the sauce, batter was on the thicker side but not too thick. The chicken was not too oily or heavy after eating it. Chicken came with some rice cake in the dish which was a nice touch! I just moved to Toronto, and this shop tastes on par with other popular Korean fried chicken brands in Asia. Of course, imo there are some better brands from Korea for fried chicken, I'd rank this around better than average Korean fried chicken. Fries were quite a large portion for two people. Portion wise, we had enough chicken left over to take back home and the leftovers were enough for our dinner the next day. In total, we spent around 40ish cad which I think is a good price point for the amount of food and quality. We didn't get any free drinks with our order unlike other reviews, but we did get 2 lollipops after paying. Overall, the food was really good and we'll be coming back for more fried chicken and to try their rice cake dishes.
