The Owl of Minerva

It was my first time eating at the Owl of Minerva. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. The boneless, soy-garlic chicken was delicious; it wasn't overly spicy and had just the proper amount of sweetness and savoury flavour. I really enjoyed the Kimchi Fried Rice because it was well-seasoned and has the right spice.

The food is actually pretty good, but it’s the details that make me feel this is more a three star place. The pork bone soup was nicely flavoured and had a good amount of tender meaty bones. However, it was just lukewarm. Similarly their seafood pancake was decent, though I did find it strange it was full of regular onions instead of green onions. But what bothered me is, instead of the tasty dipping sauce that it normally comes with, they just gave soy sauce packets.

Visited on a Tuesday evening around 7pm & it was quite busy. When we arrived, the staff asked how many & we said table for 3 but there weren’t any available tables so the lady just put her hands up and shrugged literally like this ‍ I was a bit astonished by this action as in these scenarios, the worker would usually ask if we would be willing to wait for a table instead of shrugging. Was just looking for a quick & simple meal so we waited a couple mins. Portions are ok but the pork in the pork bone soup was really hard to get off the bone. I hate to leave negative reviews but I am always honest with my experiences and this was just my experience. I hope the service here will be improved in the future.

It's a casual spot with FRESH sizzling hot dishes brought to your table. Excellent customer service, but don't expect 5 star cups and plates. The only downfall was the old Tupperware looking cups/plates. But the food was awesome. The atmosphere is a 3 star as it doesn't really have an ambience to it. Washrooms, well, like I said, don't expect anything to be spectacular!

Good place for a fast and decent meal. Food came 5 minutes after we ordered which is the fastest time I’ve ever experienced! Gamjatang was really tasty and well portioned. Rice cakes were alright. Side dishes: liked the cucumber side dish but didn’t enjoy the kimchi.

The Owl of Minerva by steeles is always welcoming. I’ve been here a few times and the quality of food and service is consistently good. You can count on getting good portion sizes with whatever you order. Suggested Menu Items: KamJaTang La Kalbi KhamPungGi YukGaeJang Surely a spot that’s worth visiting for some good eat .

We were seated immediately on a Saturday night. We had the dolsot bimbimbap and gamjatang. The soup was great, filled with ingredients and boiling hot. The bimbimbap however didn't had the signature crispy rice as the dolsot bowl wasn't heated enough. Overall, a solid 4 stars.

Owl Family Franchise LLBO Korean COVID protocols are in effect. I was surprisingly disappointed at this location of Owl. I've been to all the locations and this location just didn't meet the standard. I've been here before and don't remember it being like this, maybe the chef changed? First of all, their menu is slightly different from the other locations which is not bad. For example, they have Gamjatang with ramen and daily snack combos. I believe they newly hired a server so I already took that into consideration. Just need a bit more time to get used to it I ordered a Heineken, the server left me with the bottle. When I called him back for it to be opened as it's not a twist off, he didn't know how so I did it myself. There were only 3 side dishes: - cucumbers - looked like they were at the bottom of the batch and the carrots were carelessly chopped. - kimchi - ok - beansprouts - ok I asked for 1 gamjatang and 1 gamjatang with ramen. I asked for a higher spice level however my server told me he believes there is only a regular spice level or extra spicy. So I just took regular ... It was not even mild. Perhaps he doesn't eat gamjatang much himself so I didn't want to bother. The gamjatang with ramen was interesting, it waters down the soup a little bit and you do lose one bone where you usually get with a regular gamjatang. Overall I'll return but not with a high expectation. The service ok though, they were all polite and kind. The server just needs a bit of practice and time.

Had porkbone soup. Portions are big, including the side dishes. Well worth the price! Wait time was about 10 minutes for the food and service was good.

JingsenChicken soup is my favor but the chicken is not enough soft. Seafood u do ng taste a little sweety. Over all the are ok.
