I was searching for Korean food in Scarborough and found this place and decided to give it a try. We were hoping to order the lunch special but because we went on a Friday afternoon and the special was not available. We ordered the Jab Chae Rice and Beef Hot Stone Bowl with Rice. The food was made fresh to order and they gave us free appetizers with additional 3 refills for free. I would recommend this restaurant and would come back again in the future. Parking: Free parking on site
Full stars for value and service. Ordered the large format hotpot pork bone soup to go. Everything was so neatly packed and nothing spilled or even leaked. They have plenty of large pork bones and included noodles and dumplings to add to the soup. The soup itself was decent though the pork bones could have been more tender.
Authentic Korean cuisine in Scarborough. This place has been around for quite a few years and I have been coming here numerous times. Good and friendly service. Tasty and reasonably priced foods. Spacious & clean. Parking is awesome as it is located in a huge plaza!
Delicious Grilled mackerel cooked perfectly. Smoky flavour with crispy skin and very moist tender flesh. Must try ! Soy bean Tofu seafood soups/stew is very tasty also. Clean, bright comfortable seating. Service is great also. Friendly and prompt. Love the side dishes, will be back
They provide 5 sides but only allow you to refill 3 of them once. The chicken katsu isn’t bad you get a lot which add values. The washroom and dining area is very clean!
The restaurant is bright and clean. Service is okay, could use some work. Food is authentic, portions are great and well priced. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Always went to the Bamburgh location so this was my first time at this location. The location was surprisingly huge. They were busy and definitely understaffed… Unfortunately they forgot my order while the rest of my group had already gotten their food. I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae and I guess they rushed my food after I reminded them because I only had 2 pieces of pork in it. Wasn’t in the mood to complain more since my food was already came late whereas some people in my group had already finished theirs… The Seafood Pajeon was good though. Batter was soft and chewy compared to some other pajeons. Not happy with the service but willing to give them another try next time, or will just go back to the Bamburgh location.
Second time trying Jeon ju hyang and the food was okay.. except the wings. I ordered the garlic chicken wings that were like $20+ and they were all burnt… Also, they are not that generous with the side dishes anymore. you can only refill 3 side dishes
Foods are really delicious and side dishes are also very good. Restaurant is also very clean. Servers are very polite, neat and tidy too. Thank you, I’ve enjoyed my lunch very much.
I had a craving for Korean food and some of food was either overly priced, or just plain. I happen to pass by Starbucks and stumbled on this place for a quick lunch. So I ordered the Jab Chae rice and the chicken katsu with rice from the lunch menu. It was $13.75 per dish excluding tax. So the Jab Chae rice came in a small wok and this consisted of either chicken or beef and I chose the latter. This dish also had a unique combination of rice and sweet potato noodles, lettuce with a hint of peanut sauce and topped off with a lovely runny fried egg. Advisable to mix the rice, meat and runny egg together. The chicken katsu had a scrumptious crunch of the batter which wasn't too dry and the chicken was moist. Only down side was the chicken was thin. There are also 6 mini side dishes which makes a good link to the main lunch- kimchi, roasted potatoes with honey glaze, aromatic seaweed, pickled radish and carrots, fish cakes and jab Chae noodles. As for refills, you are only allowed 3 extra replenishments. I chose the fish cakes, potatoes and seaweed. Overall a great lunch dishes and the establishment was quiet and nice.
