Delicious and different types of pastry and food. I tried Ham& Swiss cheese sandwich If you are sitting inside you can experience calm and relaxation and stays hours without thinking about the rushing happening outside. They have a charming outside space too where you can seat and cool your day while you enjoyed their design . I do recommend stopping by and having some fun and experiencing their tasty treats and food.
Beautiful local café with variety of desserts and snacks. Of course they have cold coffee and shakes. Worth a try if you are craving something sweet. They do cakes on order and close early so make sure to plan it on time. Parking can be an issue as they are on queen street, take the parking in the city hall.
Not a bad place, they have such a lovely chairs and tables outside, it make you feel, you are in Europe with this small streets but not great food. The coffee was amazing by the way.
Didn't stay inside long, but my friend and I picked out some tasty treats for my sister's birthday. We enjoyed them all, though the lemon tart and fruit tart were our favourites! I really hope to stop by again soon because I can't stop thinking about all the delicious options they had in their display case.
Nice Cafe close to lots of other shops. We enjoyed a delicious toasted rubin sandwich, cauliflower and parmesan soup and brownie. Chai tea latte was better than the Starbucks version. The front window offers a nice place to sit in the sun in the afternoon. Parking: Paid street parking is available at the front.
Looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth. This is the place to go. All food looked like it was made with fresh and quality ingredients. The caffeine products are typical of a café. The outside seating was nice and private. Looking forward to being downtown Fredericton and stumbling apon this establishment.
Many people recommend their croissants, so I was excited to give them a try! I got a butter croissant, a pain au chocolat, as well as a latte. The croissants were so, so bad. Super thick dough with no flakiness and absolutely no flavour. The drink was good, although they gave me a smaller size than I ordered. This business also claims to be accessible, but if you need to use the washroom, the staff has to move a huge coffee island to accommodate any type of mobility aid, larger bodies, etc... I would definitely not recommend Chess Piece.
Came for the S'mores latte and left with it and a smile. The last time I had this drink was 6 years ago and I'm glad it hasn't changed. Food: 5/5
Cheespiece Downtown is great, but at the airport, the food is terrible. I just ate the worst croissant of my life - zero crispness, zero flavor. The manager just apologized and said I should have had it reheated what??. The service is even worse than the food...remember a smile costs nothing.
Paid $15 for 2 desserts that were just plain bad. I would be happy to pay that for a great product, sadly instead it was just for a dry, hard, flavourless and coated in old buttercream desserts. Wouldn’t recommend.
