Cafe Loka

Best Iced tea I had in Fredericton! It’s a cute and cozy spot with lots of homemade products! The Cafe is on the 3rd floor in the building next to the piercing spot!

My new favourite café spot. Café Loka has had a few locations over the years, but this is by far my favourite. Not just my favourite iteration of the café, but probably my favourite atmosphere in the downtown area of any store. Located on the 3rd floor of the building with the tattoo shop on Queen, it looks average as you walk up the stairs there's also an elevator, but by the time you get there, you realize it's anything but. Old brick on wood beams reinforced with new ones line the walls as well as a multitude of decorative plants, which are also for sale. Once inside, from the furniture to the clothing on sale and the artwork, some of which are by locals Midas Well Creations, the place oozes a bohemian, relaxing, down to earth style. Both walls are also lined on top with skylights adding great light to the surrounding plants and decor. The staff were attentive and friendly, the atmosphere chill and welcoming. We had their espresso which was strong and bitter, just the way my wife and I like them. Two muffins topped with sliced almonds which had the perfect muffin consistency and the grilled cheese on sourdough which also had the perfect chew and light tang I look for in a great toasted sourdough. To finish, we took 4 of their ginger molasses cookies and scarfed them down immediately. Can't wait to go back.

Good coffee and soup. Back for the third time. My new fav spot when I am visiting Fredericton. Okay, flight to Toronto cancelled so back again today 4th time. Will miss this place. Back again month later. New photos of food to share. Still good!

This is my second time at Cafe Loka for lunch in as many weeks! Absolutely delicious food! Very friendly staff, and a very cozy atmosphere! Highly recommend!

What a great discovery! How did I manage to miss this cozy café until today? They not only specialize in coffee, they also have an impressive selection of loose teas, including herbal teas. Bonus: They serve “real food” here made from locally sourced ingredients. Great service, good food and lots of ambiance. I’ll be back!

If you happen to be an English style breakfast fan this may not exactly be your cup of tea. This is a great Vegan/Vegetarian friendly spot, simple flavors being brought to their full potential is the true success of this restaurant. Meat options are available and equally delicious, but not the primary focus. Great for a light but filling brunch any time, but try and get on the patio in the summer for an extra treat.

The food was FANTASTIC. Quite possibly the best sandwich I have ever eaten.

I accidentally walked in when they were closed and they were happy to make me an espresso drink. It was just what I needed after flying in from out of town and having a failed attempt to get a decent espresso at another local cafe when places in Fredericton say cafe, it doesn't mean they serve hot coffee, or espresso - lesson learned to check the menu from now on! Regardless, Loka shone!!! I am here for another few days and I will be back!!! Thank you!
