Went there to try their classic Japanese Cheesecake and we were so immensely pleased. The taste was perfect and we could totally understand how fresh it was. Their service is also very pleasing and warm. Highly recommended for authentic Japanese Cheesecakes in Scarborough area.
Food - I absolutely love all their desserts. Not overly sweet, packed with flavor and thoughtfully made. They always have events like their Sakura spring event. The one that I loved best was when they made their Fuji cakes! My go to is their original cheesecake. Service - They do delivery, advance orders, and takeout. Their staff are always friendly and professional. Great work! Visuals - There is no seating but I love their interior and themes. I remember seeing their popup cart downtown. They put effort into their packaging and branding. Love it!
The Matcha Tiramisu is ok… not really a fan of it. On the other hand Yaki Pudding Cheesecake was delicious ! I loved the flavour and texture. Just perfect combo!
One of my favorite desserts places in town! Love their Japanese cheese cake and matcha double fromage. The portion is a bit smaller compared to the price but the cheesecakes are really tasty. Their pudding is also quite good.
STRAIGHT UP THE BEST CHEESECAKE IVE EVER HAD AND POSSIBLY WILL EVER HAVE IN MY LIFE i got the double fromage and i was literally so shook when i took the first bite that i had to take a second to process the deliciousness i had just experienced. it’s soooooo good. the airiness of the mascarpone pairs amazingly with the richer, denser cream cheese, and the spongey base adds a nice, light textural touch. when i say this cake is perfectly balanced, i am not over exaggerating. the cheesecake itself is a bit small, but is entirely worth it imo. also their drinks are mad underrated and surprisingly cheap?? like ~5. really delicious, comparable to the drinks at pablo’s cheese tart!
*** MUST EAT - BEST CHEESECAKES IN TORONTO *** i don't care what y'all say but this is waaay better than uncle tetsu, that's a bold statement and I'll stand beside it. I originally walked in for the matcha cheesecake but they were sold out, but I opted for the original double fromage cheesecake and man, even that itself was light, fluffy, deep flavors, with ricotta cheese that's been used! I shared this with my chef from from Montreal & even he was impressed! They suggest how to eat the cake and it's better eaten cold, just something to keep in mind. PROS • cheesecakes are definitely on the sweeter side, if you're not a sweet tooth kind of person than I can see why you wouldn't like it • super, light, fluffly texture, will not disappoint • the cheese they use is amazing, you can literally taste them! • parking available on both main & residential streets • cakes are on the pricier side of the $ but now I see why CONS • always sold out of matcha cheesecakes so make sure you order ahead of time MUST EAT CHEESE CAKE HERE. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP
A small shop with friendly staff. The cakes are a tad pricey but it's worth it. My favorite matcha double fromage cake was delicious. The pudding was not bad. The regular cheesecake was nice, but I prefer Uncle Tetsu. 2022-12-24: tried the seasonal special. The milk tea cheesecake was interesting, but I still prefer the matcha double fromage cake.
Went there on a snowstorm day and want to get their milk tea cheesecake. The girl told me is sold out, but I checked online is still able yo pre-order and pick up same day the same day i come. If can pre- order online and available to pick up same day. Why told me sold out? You guys did not mentioned pre-order only!
Having Japanese cheesecake with some pretty big competitors is tough. Can tell they’re trying with some of the unique flavours they have. The original cheesecake is good, with a nice amount of sponginess, but it seemed like something was lacking that I can’t it’s put my finger on. Also had the match double fromage. The flavours description sounds really nice, but if you don’t thaw it out enough, it’ll taste like an ice cream cake. Had it after completely thawed out and still the same to me only with the softness of the cheesecake part. Presentation was great and makes you want more, but it seemed kind of pricey for what you get. Glad I tried it out and experienced the place, but maybe my expectations were a little high for them.
We got the original Japanese cheesecake and double fromage. The customer service is great and they give you free samples to help you choose which one or all of the ones you want. Definitely will be back. They also give you a cute little card explaining how to best prepare the cheesecake.
