Central Social Hall

Update: Went here again. Got the Mushroom and Kale pita and it made me and my 2 friends sick. It wasn't spiced and there was no sauce. The kale was gross. Pulled pork sandwich was plain and the chips that came with it were greasy. WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN. It's all trash food. Music is alright if you like EDM/top 40s mostly. Their nachos were good but mostly plain chips (see photo)

Was at CSH recently and had the mushroom and goat cheese flat bread – a tasty meal and good portion size for the price. Went back today and the drinks were about half an inch below full in their glasses. The salad was about half an order on the plate, luckily I added chicken to make it more filling. My friend’s drink was almost all ice and she finished it in a couple of sips. Two other friends ordered the small soup and had barely a half a bowl of soup. It seemed like half the amount of food & drink that should have come to the table. A very disappointing visit. We’ll go elsewhere to get good portion sizes for the price.

Always fun to be had at Central. Nice menu and good selection of beers featuring many Alberta brews. Fun atmosphere and always good service. On the weekends it makes for a fun place to dance and meet people. I would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I were in Edmonton area visiting friends. The 4 of us came here to escape from all of our kids for a few hours. We got in on a Thursday night around 19h00. It was somewhat busy but got seating right away. The atmosphere was quite loud: music, Christmas party get together, etc. The menu has good diversity with a decent price range. The portioning could be revised on some items. I ordered "protein and veggies" a mix of chicken, beets, avocado and other veggies. It was really good but the plate was 5 times larger than the space required for the food. I would go back given the opportunity.

There's free parking in the back and after 6 PM there's free parking everywhere. Food is great and they have a large selection of drinks to choose from as well. Nice place for group gatherings and they even have a DJ for you as well.
