It does get busy, but that's because it's such an awesome place. Huge beach, and huge treed grassy park to hang out, eat food, and enjoy the day. Covered picnic areas that can be reserved for parties, as well as lots of picnic tables in the grassy areas. Huge playground. Public washrooms, and drinking water station. There is a concession, but I've never seen it open, so bring your own food and drinks. Mostly free parking, except for the boat trailer parking which is pay parking, but free boat launch into the ocean. Hiking trails are there as well. Playground: Looks like a good playground. Restrooms: Two sets of plumbed washrooms that didn't stink too bad. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcomed on leash. Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas including a large covered area that can be reserved. Picnic tables around the grassy areas, or set up a blanket on the grass or beach.
I visited this little hidden gem for the first time and enjoyed it. There’s something for everyone from kids to anglers. The kids’ playground is fairly big and decent. There’s a pay at the meter for people launching their boats. A nice place for kayaking too. Plus there’s walking trails nearby. A great place for gatherings with picnic benches and washrooms. Located off the Dollarton Hwy.
This a cute place for rest with kids and pets. There is the small beach, kids zone, photo positions, a lot of beaches for viewing of beautiful mountains and harbour. Park have few parking places. Our afternoon was nice on this park
It's a great park with lots of activities to offer. There's playground for children. Big spaces for adults to play volleyball, soccer ball and other sort of games. Good for family and friends gathering. Nice walk at the beach and boating and other sort of stuff. Crabbing etc.
A family friendly park with all the outdoor activities one wants. Children’s park, beaches, boating, Kayata Paddle Rental and Tours, season outdoor water station to rinse off before and after the beach, seasonal concession Wally’s Burger. Lots of parking but fcfs. Washrooms available with 3 stalls. A paid per use boat launch pier, free 3hr parking for the rest of the lot. Lots of sailors, boating, water skiing and a couple of swimmers were out on this windy day. A lot of water front for beachcombers. Covered picnic areas and benches throughout the park. A great place to visit, we’ll be back.
Beautiful park for all ages. There are playground for kids, a big lawn for relax, a little sandy beach for water sport. If you plan to go on weekends, try go there in the morning since the parking is a problem.
great park to have a walk after dinner or picnic with friends. have some easy trails as well. very peace and nice view.
This park is a bit of a destination park for the family. It hidden from the busy part of North Van. A great place for the family outing with plenty of sea life at low tide. The playground is great for young kids. There are plenty of parking, but the park gets busy during the weekends. Therefore plan ahead to avoid peak time.
Great park with lots of access to the beach. Best for enjoying weekends with friends and family.
Awesome nice little spot to go for a walk and see some boats and relax in the nature with trees and water all around and listening to the birds it’s great can’t wait to go back again ‍
